Here’s an exclusive look trailer for Mindd Kidzag’s fan-edit, entitled “The Enemy Within”, an alternate version to Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3. Taking footage from the original theatrical version and the “Editor’s Cut” to give you a new experience to one of the infamous chapters from the Spider-Man film series.
Running Time:
Theatrical Version: 2 hours, 19 minutes
Editor's Cut: 2 hours, 17 minutes
The Enemy Within: 1 hour, 58 minutes
Changes List:
-Removing lines of dialogue and moments that are considered unfunny, cheesy, or unnecessary (Jameson’s desk scene, “Wicked cool”, and etc.).
-The subplot about Flint Marko being Uncle Ben’s actual killer is removed, instead showing Marko more as a struggling father.
-Completely removing the Broadway musical.
-Harry's "Raise him from the dead" reply to Peter is cut.
-The scene with Harry taking "goblin formula" comes after the symbiote meteor scene.
-Harry's "You knew this was coming, Pete" line is removed.
-The test facility scientists and "Probably just a bird" line are removed.
-Harry’s on-the-nose “I’d give my life for them” line is removed.
-Gwen Stacy's photo shoot and mention of her as a model is removed.
-Eddie Brock and Captain Stacy's extended conversation during the crane incident is removed.
-Brock's "Are you smiling? Just kidding" line while he's snapping photos of Spider-Man is removed.
-As much as I love Ted Raimi, JJ’s vibrating desk scene had to go.
-The police officer attempting to stab Marko in the sand truck with a shovel is cut.
-Peter's goofy marching dance and Spider-Man saying "Shazam" at the celebration is removed.
-Spider-Man saying "Uh-oh" after punching through Sandman is removed.
-The moment with Peter talking to himself in the restaurant is removed.
-A deleted shot of the symbiote altering the spider symbol on Spider-Man's suit is added.
-Black Suited Spider-Man removing his mask and saying "This is something else" is cut.
-A quick shot of black suited Spider-Man swinging towards the camera after bursting a water pipe is removed.
-Peter in an alleyway creating his “emo hair” in the mirror is removed.
-A deleted shot of Venom appearing in Peter's mirror is added.
-Harry painting a bowl of fruit before Mary Jane calls him is removed.
-Harry talking to his butler about getting food before Mary Jane arrived is removed.
-A deleted scene is added with Peter sitting around contemplatively, staring at his trunk box containing the black suit, feeling drawn to it again.
-Harry and MJ’s “The Twist” dance scene is removed.
-Norman’s “You’ve taken your eye off the ball” line to Harry is removed and replaced with the Green Goblin laughing instead.
-Norman’s "Make him wish he were dead. First, we attack his heart!" line is removed.
-Peter getting Brock fired from the Bugle has been rearranged, it comes before the coffee shop scene and his fight with Harry.
-Following Peter and Mary Jane's break up, a new scene with Peter returning to the trunk box is added, before he spots Brock's fake photo of Spider-Man robbing a bank.
-A moment with women looking at emo Peter while he's walking down the street is removed.
-Peter's “I’m gonna put some dirt in your eye” is cut.
-A deleted scene with black suited Spider-Man leaving the Daily Bugle following Brock's firing and Peter tossing the black suit back into his trunk box is added.
-The “How’s the pie?” moment at the coffee shop is removed.
-A deleted scene with an alternate dialogue exchange between Harry and Peter before their fight is added.
-Harry’s “Now I’m gonna kick your little ass” and Peter’s “Little Goblin Jr.” lines are cut.
-A spider-sense sound effect is added when Harry throws a pumpkin bomb at Peter.
-The infamous "James Brown" sequence is removed.
-Sandman saying "Penny" to her locket after reemerging from the sewer is removed.
-A deleted scene with Sandman as he watches his daughter at the park disguised as a large sandcastle is added.
-The infamous jazz club dance scene is heavily trimmed.
-Peter’s “Everything okay here, Paul?” line is cut.
-Aunt May visiting Peter at his apartment is removed.
-Most of the scenes with the news reporters in the film's climax are trimmed or removed.
-The infamous scene with the butler explaining to Harry about the truth of Norman's death is removed.
-An alternate scene is added with Harry beginning to cry after staring at a broken frame of a picture of him with Peter and MJ.
-Some moments and lines of dialogue from the film's climax (Spider-Man's American flag pose, Brock's "spider-sense" line, and etc.) are removed.
-Peter's church bell flashback when Venom was vulnerable to the sound of ringing poles is removed.
-The up-close shots of Peter and Mary Jane crying when Harry dies are removed.
-The end credits begins with Snow Patrol’s Signal Fire instead of orchestral music.
