From Arnhem Land to the Stars - The NASA Sounding Rocket Program in Australia Questacon 2022-03-28 | Questacon – The National Science and Technology Centre, and the Embassy of the United States of America, invite you and your students to join us for a virtual discussion on one of NASA’s most robust and versatile programs that will be launching from Arnhem Land mid-2022. For over 40 years the Sounding Rockets Program has provided critical scientific, technical, and educational contributions to our understanding of the universe. Every job that currently exists will soon exist within the space domain. Forget studying to be simply a doctor, lawyer, farmer, cleaner, when you can instead be space doctor, space lawyer, space farmer or space cleaner! The Australian Space Discovery Centre in Adelaide has partnered with TafeSA to create a Careers in Space booklet https://www.questacon.edu.au/sites/default/files/assets/Careers%20in%20Space.pdf that highlights many of the pathways into the space industry. While there is a South Australian focus to most of these courses, there would be equivalent University and Tafe pathways within each respective state. (They hope to do an Australia-wide version in the future).
