I've been testing the Soyuz 023 "Bomblet" microphone for a year, and I've NEVER had it sound bad on any source. I don't know how Soyuz did it, but it always has great flavor, sounds big, and is super easy to record so many things. Perhaps it's the fact that the mic has a focus on the mid range, but at the same time it's not a boring mic either. I'll let your ears decide for you with the audio tests!
