One of the better entry-level HD camcorders. The image is generally crisp and virbant, and the audio quality is good. The only real flaw I saw is that the Active SteadyShot doesn't work nearly as well as it does on Sony's standard-definition camcorders. This was recorded in "HQ" mode, which gives you AVCHD at 1440x1080 resolution; only the high-bitrate "FX" and "FH" modes give you full 1920x1080 resolution. Standard-definition 720x480 MPEG2 recording is also available.
The HDR-CX200 is functionally equivalent to the CX210, except the CX210 has 8 GB of built-in memory, while the CX200 has no built-in memory and requires the use of an SD card or Memory Stick.
