Had only just got the new Sony A7S when 'The Beauty of Animal Flow' with Rachel Thompson was first filmed back in February 2015. Unlike our Canon 70D the A7S is capable of capturing images in harsh lowlight conditions.
A max ISO of 409600 means there's no question that the A7S is superb in the dark.
To see what all the fuss was about this test shot was filmed, and stupidly in all the excitement no settings were noted so do checkout some A7S ISO comparison tests on YouTube.
One last thing, editing the footage is a real headache though. Because of the high ISO you need a plugin like neatvideo.com to get rid of the grain. And you need patience, a lot of time and steely nerves. I'm still not happy with the level of grain present in this but the movement is awesome and deserved to be shared.
