Sonic Frontiers just got its gameplay reveal at IGN, whom are running a month long feature. And while the world looks rather nice... the gameplay just looks weird. The full gameplay does feature some "puzzles" (read as turning a statue around) but other than the world looks rather empty. I can only really compare it to someone taking a Unreal Engine 5 landscape and then adding Sonic Assets to it... a really strange sensation. It also just doesn't seem al that quick?
It almost looks like it could be a fan-game.
