I'm getting a bit more comfortable with the DJI Phantom 2. The gimbal appears to be working well, but the horizon appears a bit tilted, I think I am going to have to do a better calibration using their software assistant. I very nearly put it in the trees shortly after launch, but recovered. I did a bunch of mucking around, trying to fly circles around myself, flying straight out, snap turning and returning, and just general mucking around. At the very end, I lost communication for several seconds, and the copter headed off toward our parking lot. I recovered by random flipping of switches, but probably should read that part of the manual more carefully so I know what to do.
