In this journal entry I'll demonstrate how I recovered lost software on old cassette tapes using a nifty tool. I used to first try the EightyOne emulator with its built-in Wave Loader but that sometimes struggles to load corrupt recordings. I've also used Audacity, to find bad sections and recreate them by cutting and pasting in identical good sections. The Java ZX81 Tape Converter does a lot of that stuff for you and is a bit more visual than either of the other two methods I've tried.
