If you want your mice to grow up trusting humans, you need to start handling them as early as possible. In the first week you do not want to stress mom, but depending on how much she trusts you, if she is very tame, you can start handling them starting with the first day, starting with the forth day if she is not afraid of you, but is not especially tame, and starting with the seventh day if she is very skittish. The more the babies are handled (gently so as not to scare them), the tamer they will be as adults. This is why mice raised by kids are often the most tame. Many children are naturals when it comes to animals and will spend a ton of time with them, especially when they are babies. Only time will tell how successful the socializing will be with this little troop, but for now I will really enjoy this special time with them :)
