Travelers Notebook Blue Edition StudioBAS 2018-04-06 | Traveler's Notebook Blue Edition is here! I have been hoping that Traveler's Company would re-release this Blue Edition so I could get one, and they did! This TN was originally a limited edition back in 2015, just before I started my TN collection. From what I've heard, this color will be a regular from now on. Yay! The blue is kind of a dusty, denim blue, and the leather is super soft. The elastic is more of a navy blue, and it comes with a mustard yellow elastic to switch it up if you'd like. I will be keeping the blue on on mine. Arteza Watercolor Pencils Review StudioBAS 2018-03-22 | I teamed up with Arteza to review some art supplies for you guys! In this video I'll give my thoughts on the Arteza Watercolor Pencils, Watercolor Pad, and Water Brush Pens. Overall I was very pleased with the quality and value of these products! Watercolor Pencils - I thought these were great! The lead is soft and easy to draw/color with, and when you add water the color behaves a lot like watercolor paints. Watercolor Pad - This paper is cold press, 300gsm, and has a nice texture to it. It held up nicely in my test, Water Brush Pens - These have a fiber that bounces back quickly and a red button to press for water to come out. Mini Binder Planner for Amy Tangerine StudioBAS 2017-09-14 | Check out this mini binder planner I created for Amy of Amy Tangerine! Thank you to Amy for collaborating with me on this :) I created a YouTube planner for myself a while back and after seeing that video, Amy asked if I could make one for her! Of course I did, and it was so much fun. I started by creating some custom stickers for her - I sketched them out and finished the illustrations in Adobe Illustrator. I had them printed through an online service called, Moo. Next I put together a mini binder planner with an undated monthly calendar, a dashboard filled with page flags and stickies, some washi samples, and a few sections for notes, ideas and collabs. My idea was to create the base, and then Amy can make this planner her own! Teacher Planner StudioBAS 2017-09-07 | Here is a look at my teacher planner for the 2017-2018 school year! I am still using a May Designs notebook in the classic size, which is pretty close to an A5. I decided to change a few things from my teacher bullet journal last year to make this planner work better for me. I went from the list type monthly calendar to a traditional one, and also ditched the future log. I also have space for notes and to do lists. How to Travel Journal - Chicago StudioBAS 2017-08-22 | Here is another process of a page in my USA Travel Journal, this one is for Chicago, IL! We recently visited Chicago and loved it. We went to the Art Institute, the Shedd Aquarium, The Field Museum, Chicago 360, Millennium Park and the Chicago Skydeck. We also tried Chicago deep dish pizza and walked a lot! I also chat about the Hobonichi 2018 lineup and what I plan to order :)I have been using the Hobonichi Techo for 2 years now as my daily journal and I LOVE it! How To Travel Journal - Point Reyes StudioBAS 2017-08-01 | In this video you'll see the process of how I create a travel journal! We recently took a weekend trip to the Point Reyes area here in Northern California and I decided to make a travel journal for this getaway. I made this insert from white printer paper and a piece of kraft scrapbook paper. All the supplies I used will be listed below for you to check out!Things I love to include in my travel journals are: lots of photos, maps, receipts, brochures, newspaper clippings, washi tape and more! Almost anything you collect along your trip can be incorporated into a travel journal, so save it all! This travel journal was made AFTER my trip, because I would not have had the time to make it look this good while traveling. This was a short trip so I didn't have trouble keeping track of where we went and what we did. I keep a daily journal in here and fill the pages of my Hobonichi with writing, drawing, magazine clippings, photos, stickers, washi tape and whatever else I want to remember. I'm big on memory keeping, and keeping a daily journal is a fun and fairly simple way to do that. You can see that some of my pages are blank, and that's OK :) You may have times when you don't feel like doing an entry, and that's life. Travel Journal - Photos StudioBAS 2017-05-09 | In this video will show you how I prepare my photos using the Canon Selphy CP1200 photo printer, and also Polaroid Zip photo printer.I recently ordered the Canon Selphy printer and am loving it! The photo quality is comparable to what you would expect from a drugstore 1 hour photo. Not professional quality, but not bad at all! The best part about this printer is that you can print multiple photos on one sheet, which makes it very cost effective to print your photos at home. The other printer featured in this video is the Polaroid Zip portable printer. This one has served me well for the past couple years, but the prints can be quite expensive. One advantage to these prints is that they are stickers! This makes them easy to use in journals, the printer is also very tiny and can hold a charge for trips!The last option, which I used for my Japan travel journal, are mini prints from Social Print Studio. They are great quality, and printed on a thick cardstock paper. This is great, except when you're putting hundreds of photos into a small journal - they really bulk up the TN insert that I use. With all that said, I will be going for the Canon Selphy for the majority of my photo printing at home. Watercolor in My Hobonichi - Viviva Colorsheets StudioBAS 2017-04-25 | Thank you for joining me to watercolor in my Hobonichi! I decided to create a colorful Earth Day scene with watercolor! First I did a quick sketch with pencil, then I used my water brush and Viviva Colorsheets to paint. These watercolor sheets have been improved recently to show the color name. There is also water resistant paper between each sheet to protect them. One thing I love about these watercolor sheets is that they're very easy to use! They're great for travel, taking to a coffee shop or cafe and even wonderful to use at home. You don't need a lot to use them, just a water brush and paper! I was even able to mix colors directly on the sheets. The colors are bold and bright, and work just as well as traditional watercolors. Travel Journal - Organize and Prepare StudioBAS 2017-04-13 | This video will show you how I organize all the things I collect during a trip to make a travel journal! I have come up with a system to keep all the tickets, brochures, receipts, etc. organized so that when I'm ready to create my travel journal, it will be easy! When we returned home, I labeled one envelope for each city we visited and put all the things I collected into the correct envelope. This way, when I'm creating my travel journal, everything is already organized. ▶︎Travel Journal tips:・Keep everything that can remind you of your trip! For example: receipts, tickets, brochures, packaging, chopstick holders, plastic bags, small coins, etc.・Put your collected items into a pouch, folder or envelope for safe keeping until you return home. ・Label! If you're traveling in a country that does not speak your language, label things with post it notes or write directly on them so you can remember where its from. ・Take LOTS of photos! With digital photos you always have the option to delete later, so snap away! (Make sure your phone has enough storage and you bring an extra memory card for your camera)・When you return home, organize everything you collected. MUJI Haul StudioBAS 2017-02-16 | I got some new stationery goodies from MUJI here in San Francisco. This was my first time visiting a MUJI store and I loved it! It reminds me so much of Japan. They have a lot to look at, from home to apparel to stationery. The things I picked up were two mini binders, mini binder accessories, stickies, a ruler, a small notebook, kraft envelopes and letter paper. I used both binders already, one for stickers (I have a video up for that, its the one right before this one!) and one for a YouTube planner. I may put a video up for that, too. Travelers Notebook Setup 2017 StudioBAS 2017-01-06 | Here is my 2017 Traveler's Notebook setup! I am excited to share this 2017 setup with you guys. I'm using three inserts right now, the monthly diary, horizontal weekly diary and the 002 graph insert. These inserts are all from Traveler's Company (formerly known as Midori). I will still be sticking with the bullet journal system, utilizing task lists, future log, collections and noting my events/appointments. 2017 Travelers Notebook Accessories StudioBAS 2016-12-15 | I got some 2017 accessories for my traveler's notebooks! For 2017, Traveler's Company came out with two special pencil boards and a pack of Pan Am stickers to customize your traveler's notebook inserts. The pencil boards fit nicely into the clear zipper cases. The stickers are really cute, there are two sheets of decorative stickers, 3 sheets of planner stickers and one sheet of clear pockets with Pan Am designs. 2017 Travelers Notebook Monthly Diary StudioBAS 2016-12-13 | 2017 Traveler's notebook monthly diary inserts are here! I got both the standard TN size and the Passport. I wanted to show you a comparison of the two 2017 monthly diary inserts. These are pre-dated and come with stickers to decorate! The standard size comes with 2 large stickers, and the passport size comes with 5 small stickers. The inserts are very similar, differing mostly in size.
