This is my percussion ensemble arrangement of Snow Land from Mario Kart: Super Circuit.

Time for one last cover before the year ends! Seems fitting since I also ended last year with a Snow Land cover heheh. I actually arranged this the same week I arranged the KEY Snow Land cover but just never got around to recording it, so this has been on the backburner for quite some time and it's nice to finally bring it to see the light of day.
I chose the setup of just snare drum with brushes and bass drum for the drum set to mimic that classic 8 bit feel of the original GBA soundtrack. Of course the sleigh bells get their money's worth during the winter season and the tambourine was a nice addition to the b section. I did mess around with the articulations in the melody a bit in order to get it to work on the vibraphone with realistic pedalings, but otherwise this was a fun and simple arrangement to put together for percussion!
As much fun as I've had with Mario Kart World, I will probably always prefer Mario Kart 8 Deluxe simply because you can play as best doggo aka Isabelle from Animal Crossing. Nintendo please consider bringing her back to MKW as DLC!
