I wanted to update the previous SJ4000 vs Gopro quadcopter comparison video, so this is the new SJ4000 wifi vs Gopro H3B vs Mobius (Wide B lens version).
Don't pay much attention to the colours/white balance on the SJ4000 and Mobius as these are adjustable, SJ4000 I used cloudy WB setting, when Tungsten gives a less yellow colouring so many people prefer it, on the Mobius you can adjust from various settings or customise.
I prefer 60fps for quadcopter/gopro video's as it gives a sharper/crisper video, so have used those settings where possible, the mobius can only produce 60fps with a narrow FOV (Field of view) as it can only downscale the centre of sensor quickly enough, so I also included the mobius at 30fps in comparison which shows the full width of the Wide angle B lens.
This is the first video I have uploaded to youtube in 60fps, so I am interested to see how it looks.
As always, I am just providing video for you to make your own comparison, so please comment below, obviously being polite !
Mobius with wide B lens cost me £48.94/$74 - there is a new C lens which is slightly wider still, with less flare.
SJ4000 wifi was £58.31/$88 and I still think is a great low cost gopro alternative - I will do a seperate video of this as I'm very impressed with the wifi functionality/app.
Gopro Hero 3 Black is obviously an old model now, but its what I have and still use, and is the benchmark - I bought mine for full price 5 weeks before the Hero 3+ was announced, but I'm still very happy with everything about it (except I could have saved a bundle if I'd waited till the 3+ came out).
Quad is my DJI Phantom 1.1.1 with R800X receiver flown with Spektrum DX8 and using the isolated ebay camera mount I recommend as essential for any camera/quad.
