The Karters 2 sets out to be the first game like Crash Team Racing on PC. Is it any good?

The Karters 2: Turbo Charged is a game that is heavily inspired by CTR (and by proxy, Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled) and Mario Kart 8. The game also has a ton of community mods featuring tracks, karts, and characters from a bunch of other franchises. The game is currently in early access and only available on PC. Full release is slated to include release to consoles, cross-play, an adventure mode, and an in-game track editor. Today we'll do a deep dive into what the game has to offer, general explanation of how the game works, and ultimately whether the game holds up to the games that inspired it.

After an extremely long hiatus from speedrunning Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled, I decided it was finally time to come back and set a new personal best. Though my old record is from 2020, it still holds a spot in the top 30, so this wont be a complete walk in the park. We also wont be stopping at just a new PB, as Id like to push for a 46:xx time. Join me as I knock the rust off and relearn how to play CTR in the big 2026. We will also be explaining a few important skips and topics relevant to NFs speedruns, such as Podium RNG, polswid, boss cutscene skips, easy Oxide race setup, and why you should use Rustland skins. also no the vtuber model is not going away.
