At the 2025 National Women’s Soccer League Championship in San Jose, California, Canon debuted a new activation on the field: Shoot Like a Pro — an on-field mentorship experience designed to empower the next generation of women sports photographers.

As the Official Imaging Partner of the NWSL, Canon selected two university photography students to shoot the championship match from the sidelines alongside the pros. Working with the same Canon gear used by official league photographers, they captured the action in real time under the guidance of Canon Explorer of Light Terrell Lloyd.
