Ready to explore Shinjuku? This isn't just a walking tour—it's your interactive trip planner.
We filmed on a "Pedestrian Paradise" day, when the main street of Shinjuku is completely car-free. As you walk with us, you'll see pop-up info for 68 key locations, each with a scannable Google Maps QR code.

Here’s how to use the QR codes in this video to build your custom Tokyo itinerary.

Scenario 1: Watching on TV (Scanning with Phone)
1. When you see a spot you like on your TV, pause the video.
2. Open your phone's Camera app and point it at the QR code on the screen.
3. Tap the notification that appears to open the location in Google Maps.
4. Tap "Save" and add it to a new list, like "My Tokyo Trip".

Scenario 2: Watching on an iPhone (Screenshot Method)
1. Pause the video and take a screenshot.
2. Open the screenshot in your Photos app, then press and hold the QR code. Tap the link that appears to open it in Google Maps.
3. Tap "Save" and add the location to your "My Tokyo Trip" list.

Scenario 3: Watching on an Android (Screenshot Method)
1. Pause the video and take a screenshot.
2. Open the screenshot in Google Photos and tap the "Lens" button.
3. Lens will find the link in the QR code. Tap it to open in Google Maps, then "Save" it to your "My Tokyo Trip" list.

Viewing Your Itinerary
In the Google Maps app, tap the "Saved" tab to find your "My Tokyo Trip" list. All your saved spots will appear on the map, ready for you to plan your routes.
