The Golden Quarter has one of the largest and detail filled areas that is normally unreachable in the game with lots of unique textures that are really hard to look at from across the street.
With the help of the map glitch and a bit of persistence anyone can explore the area on the other side of the street without any modifications to the game.

First just a quick look into the locked rooms and a chat with Ren Dan right next to him, behind his counter. Then I really break the boundaries and walk around the preloaded Green Market Qr.
Funny things going on with the doors there. I actually didn't try this out prior to capturing this video. Good thing I decided to keep messing around.
How to perform the "map glitch":
Get yourself any of the maps in Wan Chai so you can access the Overall Map in your inventory. Hold the right trigger to start running and quickly open the Overall Map. Ryo will keep walking on it's own. When you've reached you're designated location, press B to make Ryo reappear.

Rushing to the harbor down Wish Road at maximum speed. Remaining time is 26 seconds and on screen for 5 frames, giving a time of 1:34:166 wich was world record from June 2021 to May 2022.

This is as far as I was able to push it with my attempts. While working towards this I got 1:36:866, 1:35:966, 1:35:200, 1:35:066, 1:34:900, 1:34:800, 1:34:666 and after I set my PB I got 1:34:633 twice. All within the span of 2 days.
Like all my Shenmue I&II footage, this is recorded with Widescreen Mod and Audio Restauration Project active. These mods only affect aesthetics and give no advantage to the gameplay.")
