When Ester Baiget was offered the chance to become CEO of Novozymes, she wasn't chasing a title.

In fact, she says she never needed to be a CEO.

What convinced her to leave Dow Chemical after a 25-year career was something else entirely: the belief that she could make a bigger impact.

“I knew I could help, and I knew I could make a bigger impact there.”

Now CEO of Novonesis, Baiget says leadership was never about ambition, it was about purpose.
