Zelda 2: Adventures of Link (1988) | Lore Stream - Part 2

Good day everyone! For anyone who is new welcome! Gaming University is a channel that discusses the thematic and literary aspects of our favorite video games. While most of this content is centered on Analysis videos, we recently decided to take community requests and dabble in streams so that we can all hang out and break them apart live and unscripted.

Growing up one the first game I have conscious memory playing is the original gold cartridge of Zelda one on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Since then, it became kind of a ritual that my sister and I play these games together upon release. While I did engage with the lore the series unfolded, I have not been back to look at it through the eyes of the man I am today, relegating it to the memories of my childhood. Today, though, we will continue my replay of the entire franchise with the mindset and attention I give to all the other games I cover. In this one we will begin the 1988 black sheep of the franchise, Zelda 2 The Adventure of Link.

Rather then approach this series with full knowledge of the franchise, the goal is to pretend like the rest of the games do NOT exist and take each installment in a vacuum. This will be more of a collaborative process while we all piece it together and hopefully, by the end, Disentangle The Legend of Zelda.
