We were chased away from the regional park where I attempted my first flight (apparently quadcopters are illegal in all Eastbay Regional Parks) So, we went back to the Pixar campus, and took off from our soccer field. I'm pretty timid with flying, but the Phantom 2 is actually really easy to fly. There was some kind of problem with the gimbal, so the image isn't stabilized at all: I'll have to figure out what is up with that. Next time it should be better! (WARNING: sound is just a lot of wind noise.)

555 Astable Multivibrator as an AM Transmitter

$Arduino, analogWrite, and DC voltages This morning I quickly put together a little RC filter to turn the PWM output of the Arduino into smoothly varying analog voltage to control the VCO in my G0UPL low power beacon transmitter. I think the filter is actually a bit too aggressive, it takes a significant fraction of a second to settle on the new value. Ill get a different cap in there later to speed that up a bit. (Apologies for the soft focus, Ill remember to use the macro next time).$
