Stardate: 60672.8
The Kongzi docked at Narendra Station for secondary warp core replacement, after we ejected it in an attempt to save the USS Ontario. I have been temporarily assigned to station security by Admiral Hebert. Apparently there has been a theft from a locker in one of the archeology labs. Some Tilikaal artifacts from Alpha Toryui II have been stolen and Tac is in charge of the invistagion. Of course, the captain has made the crew of the Kongzi available to assist me and the Admiral, and she is anticipating that the new warp core will be operational in a matter of hours. The theft of such important artefacts directly from under the noses of both Starfleet and the Klingon Defense Force is troubling. Hopefully I can get to the bottom of this and the culprits will be brought to justice, ideally including the return of the artifacts. Tilikaal technology is extremely dangerous, and having it the wrong hands could spell disaster for the sector.
Discovering the identity of the culprit does not prove to be particularly difficult for a security officer as skilled as Tac, but finding them out in the Shackleton Expanse is another matter. If they find the perpetrator that will be the least of their worries, as the stolen technology proves to be as dangerous as Tac feared, and it is most certainly in the wrong hands.
