For those who don't know, later PET/CBM machines has a speaker that connects directly to the I/O chip's shift register output. The chip could repeatedly rotate and shift out 8 bits of data at a definable rate. Once this runs really fast, it approximates a PDM DAC...

I'm currently doing a series of uploads of my BotB major entries that's not here yet. This was done with Shiru's Phaser3 engine and the tracker for it could mute each channels. Which is how I managed to split them for this oscilloscope render. Although it's full of subtle timing hell to sync them up.

This was an entry for Chiptune Café Chip Jam VIII-Bit which I kept forgetting to upload it for few days after it ended as usual. Also I would include a tracker view too but I forgot to copy it to my laptop before leaving.

I'm currently doing a series of uploads of my BotB major entries that's not here yet. Although the version in this video is different from the original entry because I edited it for my planned album. "Since the original BotB entry uses only 45kB of ARAM. Aside of an addition of new parts, I also changed the samples to those higher quality ones.
(voices aren't changed though, I don't feel like recording myself again...)
Now it uses 61kB of ARAM and still fits in .spc file!"

This was made back in 2018 for Redditaisai. I promised in the readme file that I'll eventually make a visualizer ROM for this but I didn't have a time or motivation to do it until recently.

This was my best major entry for BotB before I went on a long hiatus last July and was also my 50th major entry too. It was made in Klystrack with no samples used.

This was made back in 2017 featuring four different chips. I kept forgetting to upload a full version of this until one year later. Whoops.
Track list:
00:00 Watching the Hidden Star
03:16 Little Strawberry
07:39 Realms of Frozen Capital
12:25 Kappa's Soundchip Test
16:00 Welcome to the Disk
21:00 Dreaming Butterfly
24:16 Dark Flower Mound

Basically I did this because unlike midi format, mt-32 doesn't have custom file size limit and defaults to 10MB so yeah I kind of just went all out on that fact lol.
This is harder to do than it looks since I have to keep a polyphony within 32 notes (at least within the file) and not spam too much or the synth will lag from message delays. Render is recorded in Munt emulator. I'm not even sure if the real hardware could handle this like the emulator does...
Finally got a new laptop. So now I can record anything at 720p60 with no lags! This MIDI is mostly me trying to abuse Windows default MIDI synth which I ended up spending the whole week for it somehow. It looks really nice when visualized in MIDITrail so I couldn't resist recording and uploading this.
I'm a little bit late this time but at least I made it just in time for a steam release of AoCF. This time I wanted to promote a custom music engine I developed with DevEd so I ended up spending more time than it should on coding this. But at least it worth the effort.

Another one entry I always forget to upload. This was made in 3xSID version of SID-Wizard. (yeah, I edited the video to show all 9 tracks at once)
You can get .sid export here: dropbox.com/s/jsiv9cid97ji7pr/resident.sid?dl=1
(Note: This video uses .mp3 render from that site which I made when VICE had a selection of SID filter curves. To make sure it's compatible with Sidplay I slightly modified the instruments in .sid version to have the filter match with the default one)
A Sega Mega Drive/Genesis tune featuring some envelope generator abuse. This was a collab with Zlew where he helped me doing some melodies and dubstep part.
This was made in Deflemask, you can get the module here: dropbox.com/s/ggnipyu97xy93e0/pdv_usng.dmf?dl=1
I originally wanted to upload this after the compo ends but I kept forgetting it. I had to modify the module and change the engine rate to 60Hz instead of 120Hz in order to make the .nsf export shown in this video playable without lagging.

Original: Touhou 16 final boss theme
It's been nearly 2 years since I last used LSDJ and made a big thing. It's good to revisit this after I have more knowledge on chip music.
I originally planned to use my GBA like my previous one but it somehow randomly won't play a noise command. welp (Update: I forgot to set S CMD to stable)
