Unexpected things can sometimes be more rewarding. On this camping adventure on a wild rugged hillside in western Scotland I went for the views to the south but it was the northern lights and the unexpected aurora that stole the show to the north! The thumbnail depicts both directions ;)
This is easily the best show of the aurora that I have seen and what a night it was .
