The theme was "phobias." Each editor had to edit their character suffering from a phobia and I chose "monophobia" (fear of being isolated) for Deku. I thought it was fitting after his vigilante arc.

This uses my favorite Ayu song so I stoked to edit with her music again. I haven't edited J-Pop in years so it was long overdue.

I basically interpreted these lines from Bakugou's perspective. Part of his trauma and build up of guilt was out of his inability to control the situations he was put in. Naturally, I'd use the Kamino arc for this.

I really like how the part turned out. I wish I could get the coloring aspect of it better, but the sync was my favorite part of editing this. Basically, the story is Todoroki gets tired of his father's abuse and turns on him. Fun times.

Chaos in Serenitas [Sailor Moon AMV]

KeikoAkai 2017-11-04 | So before people start assuming this is recent, this is actually a reupload from YEARS ago. I made this way back in like 2011-2012. I originally made a shorter version of this to promote a very shortly lived Sailor Moon studio. When that didn't work out, I just expanded the beta into this AMV.

For some reason, I never bothered to upload the full version until now. X'D

I guess the basic concept of this AMV is showing off the darkness within the series. There's a lot of great serious and eerie moments and decided it'd be appropriate to upload around Halloween time.

Yava ~ Matsuricon 2017 AMV Contest OP - My Parts ((Theme: Magica vs. Mecha))

It's not my best work, but I think it came out well considering I did this in two days without any sleep. Fun times. Do not recommend.

This year's theme was Magica vs. Mecha. There's no mecha in these parts because my collaborator had the mecha anime. I decided to use the magical girls and boys. The collab basically had a concept of magical boys getting their butts kicked by mecha and then calling in the girls to help them.

Matsuricon 2016 AMV Contest OP - My Parts ((Theme: Anime Pirates!))

Like the title says, these are parts I did for a collab that served as the AMV Contest opener for Matsuricon in 2016. I had a lot of fun doing these parts. I love this song and I enjoyed making the karaoke part and syncing clips to the sounds in the song. Though, one part about making this that frustrated me to no end was the source clips I used. They lagged like no tomorrow, making masking practically impossible and I didn't have the time to get the sources from anywhere else. Otherwise, this was fun.

The theme for the con last year was pirates so naturally, all the anime sources have pirates (or space pirates) in them.

Matsuricon 2017 Non-Anime Category Intro - Invincible Voltron

This year we decided to introduce a new rule that includes all forms of editing. This means that non-anime cartoons, video games, and live action were welcome! This was for the non-anime cartoons section!

This is Not a Dream ~Drama Intro - Ohayocon 2016~

This is also the very first time I used After Effects for text. I'm moving up in the world, woo~!

I really enjoyed my concept of this intro since it's basically fitting each line of the chorus to each magical girl. I think the lines fit each of them very well.

「IDS」 KeikoAkais Fifth Anniversary MEP Collection

KeikoAkai 2015-05-27 | This year (April 10th to be exact), it'll be five years since Inuyasha Daisuki Studios (IDS) was formed. I decided that to help celebrate this milestone, I'd show my collection of MEP parts that I made for IDS.

IDS is very dear to me. Out of all of my MEP studios, I've been in IDS the longest. I helped start IDS with my best friend (Kacie - CatalyzeInsanity) and neither of us knew just how much impact we'd have on the Inuyasha community. We just noticed a severe lack of Inuyasha studios at the time and started it up. Five years later, we're still going strong and we managed a decent stronghold in the Inuyasha editing community. I'm grateful for that position. In addition, I'm happy that I met so many awesome people through this studio. SIS (Sweet Insomnia Studios) wouldn't even exist if not for IDS forming. Most of my best editing work (MMV and otherwise) have been in this studio since the leader pushes all of her editors to their best potential. Even if I personally don't edit Inuyasha as much as I used to, I still love the series, the community, and all of the friends I've made over the years because of this studio.

This time it's... a Nightwish Megamix! Wooo~! I know that Nightwish is an overused band, but there's surprisingly very little megamixes for them and I don't think any use songs from the newest album so I thought...why not?

If you like Nightwish just as much as I do, please consider auditioning! This is an AUDITION MEP. This is NOT first come, first serve. The only people who get first dibs are haylin42, JadenxJesseForever, MoonlightFilly, DemonBloodInuyasha, and CrimsonXepher because they helped beta this megamix for me.

There is no set theme to this MEP... There's 20 songs total. There are both old and new Nightwish songs from Tarja and Anette eras. If anyone is stupid enough to start drama about the songs I put in this MEP, I will delete your comments. I love both singers. Keep the peace.

Also, please do NOT use my megamix without my permission. I did make this myself...

I used songs from EVERY Nightwish album EXCEPT for Angels Fall First. I thought the songs from that album didn't fit well with the others in here... Most of these songs are upbeat.

The parts are between 27-30 seconds each... While there are a lot of instrumental parts, I would like to emphasize that lyrics are key in this MEP. You can choose to match clips to the lyrics by either taking them figuretively or literally. If you have trouble figuring out what the songs are about, I can help with that. Main goal is to make a long, super epic Nightwish-filled MEP.

The theme of this MEP was the yuri couple facing the rest of the world. I figured that Haruka and Michiru fit this theme better than many other yuri couples because they always stood apart from the rest of the senshi. Even when it meant betraying their own comrades, they'd do what was possible to protect their own interests and protect what they cared about in their own way and that's what I loved about their characters. I'm really happy to finally be able to express that part of them here.

So like... two firsts here. The first time I edited Ling/Ed. Also, the first time I edited with anything live action (let alone asian drama). I hope the live action edit isn't TOO horrible. As the title says, this is an Inuyasha ONLY MEP. And no you're not dreaming. This thing is FINALLY done after like half a year. LOL. Sorry it took so long guys! But it's finally done and it looks amazing! XD

Though this may look like just a dark action AMV, it isn't just that. Each part follows the theme of a dark fantasy "feudal fairy tale." Each part tells a story whether from canon plot or from manip crack. The editors focused on one character and showcased how dark the feudal era can really be through their perspective.

So the Sess/Nar story goes like this:
Sesshoumaru keeps meeting with Naraku's puppet and grows annoyed with how Naraku is toying with him. So the first time he sees Naraku in person, he grows intrigued by him. Later as their relationship develops, Sesshoumaru seeks to save Naraku before he falls completely. However, after visiting him at his castle, Sesshoumaru notices that Naraku's too far gone with his lust for the Jewel and decides that he has to kill him himself.

For Nar/Inu part:
It's more like a one-sided relationship with Naraku being the one who is in love (or probably obsessed) with Inuyasha. After seeing Inuyasha with Kagome and figures out that Inuyasha has given his heart for another, he goes into a jealous rage. He thinks to himself that if he can't have Inuyasha, no one else can... So he curses Kagome to kill Inuyasha for him.

WOO~ DARK PAIRINGS FTW!

So yeah, I got more practice with motion masking... Which for these parts, I'm rather proud of them because usually I absolutely suck at them. XD

I guess there's somewhat of a storyline here.. XD
Basically, when Miroku got hurt, Kikyou saved his life by purifying his wound. She just was so shocked that he tried to sacrifice himself for the sake of the others and didn't want him to die. So, in exchange, Miroku later saves her life. This leads to them wanting to get closer to each other and... most likely would lead to love. XD

Geez, it makes me want to write Mir/Kik fanfiction. I'm in love with writing Inu crack. lol.

Rabbit-Hearted Sacrifices: Sailor Moon Only MEP ((CLOSED))

Yeah... I'm crazy, I know... Still having other mep projects to finish up on this channel but this is something I've been wanting to do for a while now... Something Sailor Moon centric. Think of this as a possible precursor to me opening a Sailor Moon studio.

Please ignore the GOD-AWFUL sign-up BG. I honestly didn't really try... LOL. At least the picture is beautiful.

Don't let the sound of the music fool you. This is a dark mep. Basically the theme is "Sailor Moon as Madoka." If you've ever seen Puella Magi Madoka Magica, you'll understand what I'm getting at. Madoka is all about how once you're a magical girl, you cease to be a normal human. Magical abilities come at a very high price.

I want this MEP to showcase all of the harsh realities of being a Sailor Senshi. If that's difficult to show canonly, you can show it through use of manipping clips/manga. Examples of these include: sacrificing dreams of being a normal girl, sacrificing a love life, sacrificing old friendships, sacrificing their very lives, etc. Like a specific Usagi example would be how she had to give up being close friends with Naru and Umino. But basically... Each person picks a Sailor Senshi and focuses their part on that particular senshi's sacrifices they made in their lives in order to maintain their powers while sticking to the lyrics of the song. Darkening colors on mep parts are encouraged.

So basically... this song is what the title suggests. It's a memorial to a lost love. Kinda like an address to someone that died that the person cared about. And the person is lamenting the memories left behind and trying to cope.

So this AMV is from Inuyasha's POV and he's thinking about Kikyou. There's a lot of flashbacks interspersed in the video so I hope it's not too confusing. He's basically lamenting over her death and trying to deal with the fact that she's actually gone. He thinks back to the many times she nearly died... and now that it actually happened, he can't handle the crushing realty of it. He falls into despair and keeps seeing her ghost everywhere. He hopes that he could just go back to the good times they shared together and that what Kikyou's death was just a dream.

PLEASE TURN ANNOTATIONS ON! I put the English translation in here... and the lyrics are extremely important to keep more of the story.

And the dialogue in the AMV is:

Kikyou: Hanyou, what is your name?
Inuyasha: It's Inuyasha.
Kikyou: Inuyasha? I'll remember that...

And this video took about five months to do because my inspiration died on it. But I always had the intention to dedicate it to my grandpa. I chose this song because I felt that it was fitting in some ways and it's how a lot of people choose to deal with the death of a loved one. Also, it's in Japanese because my grandpa was Japanese. So, rest in peace, grandpa!

I hope you all enjoy this AMV even though it's a bit depressing... lol.

The basic theme of this mep was to edit under a category that centered around Naraku. The entire mep is supposed to reflect his relationships to the other characters he has harmed or manipulated and eventually how the Shikon Jewel manipulates him in the end.

As you can see, my part revolved around Naraku's relation to Miroku and Miroku's struggles with the Wind Tunnel.

I don't think I've ever worked as hard on a mmv part before... So... hopefully my hard work paid off. LOL.

Though, since I was struggling with it, my best friend Kacie (DistortedImagination) suggested to split the part in half so she did the other half of it. XD

This is for Ongaku Studios's OK Girl MEP! Basically, we needed to with a cute couple while using color in our parts. And this is what I came up with....

[project surGe] Anti-Mamoru/Usagi: Im Not Your Ghost Anymore

Anywho... I feel bad that this is my first upload in over a month. I've been in a major editing slump lately and it makes me not want to upload anything I'm disappointed in. Unfortunately, that's pretty much anything I've been making lately. Sorry guys! I'll try to upload more often. lol.

Before Usagi/Mamoru fans come murder me, I DO love this pairing. BUT... I wanted to make a more pro-Seiya/Usagi vid because of how the anime portrays Usagi and Mamoru's relationship. Basic story is Mamoru pushes her away so much that she finds comfort with Seiya. If I had gotten further in editing, I would have showed more Seiya. lol.

I hope people like it despite its plainness.. Sorry for the horrible pitching. XD
