I have been tasked with the challenge to make videos to go along with songs written by my friend Sandy Soffe from Pennsylvania that go along with the Twelve Steps endorsed by Celebrate Recovery. The Celebrate Recovery Twelve Steps are pretty much the same as the Twelve Steps used by Alcoholics Anonymous. While AA uses the vague phrase "higher power", Celebrate Recovery's version makes it very clear that that "higher power" is Jesus Christ.
Well, Celebrate Recovery is all about traveling down the "road to recovery." We admitted in Step One that our life had become unmanageable, and in Step Three we turn out will over to the care of God. In Step Seven, we asked God to remove all of our shortcomings. God is omnipotent, He can do that, but we need to cooperate with Him to make it happen.
