What makes some jobs more respected than others—and why does it matter? In his doctoral research, Sanat Sogani explores the deep connections between occupation, social status, and self-respect. Supervised by Anca Gheaus, his dissertation examines how certain jobs can grant or withhold different kinds of respect, raising important questions about justice in modern workplaces. From prestigious professions to undervalued care work, Sanat challenges us to rethink how we assign value to what people do.
