Sabia is one of the magical compositions of Antonio
Carlos Jobim. Typical of Jobim's pieces, it is harmoni-
cally sophisticated and unusual in construction; there
are no repeats. Davis' sound during his sensitive expo-
sition of the melody is the closest thing we have today to
that of the sadly neglected Leo Parker. Jones is, if any-
thing, stronger than usual here.
