First appearing befor even the release of the first game in the Fall of Reach Micro Series, Sam 034 is described as the largest and the strongest of the successfully augmented Spartan's and is shown to posses a zealous devotion to the fiight and his fellow spartans. in the subsequent Comic and micro series adaptaions these traits would be expanded with the choce to make his death on the Covenant ship to be an intentional sacrifice, making his death all the more effecting for John. Defined by merciless aggression, a dark dry wit and an eagerness to strike fear into his enemies, Emile's characterisation is subtly tied to the lore of the Spartan 3 programme, more so than the other S3 members of the team. In his official 343 era bio, it is stated that he lost his parents to insurrection and then his older brother to the Covenant, leaving an empty space in his heart that he endeavours to fill with the corpses of the enemy. Within game, he is enigmatic but displays subdued signals of warmth and comradery to his teammates and the player. Though his time in the franchise's brief, he makes quite an impression, particularly with his iconic skull etched helmet.Once again I have chosen to use a lyrical song as opposed to one that is purely instrumental. In this case it is because I could think of no other track that suited him better, and I think it came together quite well. What is new is that for the first time I have chosen to inject my own literal voice into the tribute. Due to having very minimal external media referring to him and his Canon back story, I have used audiobook content that generally refer to Spartan 3s as well as what amounts to a dramatic reading of his Canon bio by myself, though phrased in a more poetic manner. I'm hoping that this is not distracting and serves to bring the overall video together. If you're wondering which parties me, it's the voice that starts by saying "born on Eridanus II".--------------------------------------------------------------------------------I also chose to include imagery from the non-Canon "A fistful of arrows" graphic novel by Levi Hoffmeier in this video as well as the fan animation "Halo: Raptor | Origins" by Sparrow Films to help a better express the nuances of Emile's characterisation as well as the Canon Material for the same reason.
