Happy Canyon Utah Season 5 Finale November 2017
My final trip of 2017 took me down to this picturesque and remote slot canyon near the Dirty Devil River southeast of Hanksville, Utah. This area is accessible with high clearance and 4x4 from Poison Creek Wash Road of of UT-95 in Garfield County. Bring all of the water you'll need for this trip as there are no springs in the area to my knowledge and the Dirty Devil River will clog filters in a hurry and is not so drinkable even in the best of times.

A driving advisory on the road in to this area states:
"Roads in the Maze District and the Orange Cliffs are extremely difficult, present considerable risk of vehicle damage, and should not be attempted be inexperienced drivers. Visitors should be prepared to make basic road or vehicle repairs and should carry the following items:

-At least one, full-size spare tire
-Extra gas and water
-Shovel and High-lift jack
-Chains for all four tires..."
