Title: Let’s Talk about Shame + Q&A Presenters: The Crisses. TW: Talking about shame is potentially triggering. Examples of childhood abuse issues at a high level: perfectionism, mistakes, binary thinking, gaslighting, blame, intergenerational abuse cycles, potential for becoming abusive, and shameholders & shame defenders in a plural system will be discussed or mentioned.
Description: Shame is not talked about enough in our society — it’s barely mentioned in most mainstream treatment books, it’s shoved under a rock in our culture, and it’s not talked about openly enough in support groups. People mention shame in passing, but then are ashamed of being ashamed — so there’s little community wisdom about how to handle it or heal it. Some experts even say that DID may be a shame-based disorder. It’s certainly one of the top stumbling blocks for most traumagenic systems and unfortunately some therapists may increase a client’s shame rather than help them deal with it. Let’s talk about shame…normal shame versus toxic & carried shame, how shame presents in plural systems, signs that we’ve been shame-triggered, and how we can start dumping toxic & carried shame and experience normal or healthy shame appropriately.
Speaker bio: The Crisses are an autistic, disabled, non-binary, gender-fluid, plural-identified quoigenic DID-diagnosed polyfragmented modular system with about 157+ system members of a wide variety of types. They are geeks, authors, content creators, instructors, healers, coaches, and mental health advocates. They have hEDS, CIDP, Reynaud’s syndrome, several other related issues, and are transition opportunists. They live in upstate New York in the USA, and moonlight as a pet sitter.

"Possession" allows a non-fronting headmate to borrow control of all or part of the body for a while without properly switching in, while "the typing trick" is a technique related to autowriting by which a headmate not in front can type without direct control of the hands, which is also occasionally useful for reaching headmates that are not otherwise accessible. These techniques are most likely to be useful for systems that already have some established co-consciousness and internal communication, but are otherwise potentially applicable to systems of all sorts.
The illustrious Et al., coauthors of 10,000 papers!
More seriously, Et al. system are a small, originally parogenic (tulpamancy) system who have spent the last thirteen years trying to better understand their own plural experiences and those of others, and using what they learn to better understand the brain and to give back to their community where they can. They have been special interesting *hard* on this set of topics for over a decade, though their actual formal academic background is in computer science and machine learning. They have also been activists and community organizers for a variety of causes most of their adult lives.

It's the cause of so much pain and hurt. Some might even say, it's where it all began. And that it's the last thing they want to connect with. For many it does not feel safe to meet the body. But our body is also what we've all got in common. It's our System's meeting place, so to say. We all have to share the same body, even if we don't agree on many things, if we look totally different, if we are from different species. In this session we'll explore how somatic therapies can be adapted and integrated into our therapy sessions or into our life. We will start with our own journey of discovering that we are a system and how somatic therapies have challenged us, a lot, and at the same time made our progress possible. We follow our own journey with some examples how we adjust modalities with our clients, and offer some explorations to experience some somatic practices. We are ending the talk with the opportunity to experience some somatic practice if that feels safe enough on the day.
Hi, we are The Loucas, or some might know us as Johannah & Co from Natural Holistics and BodyWise – Many Selves, One Body. We are a polyfragmented system, Wounded Healer, a peer support advocate and educator about living with dissociation, dissociative identities and organised extreme abuse for other survivors as well as professionals. We are also a Somatic Trauma Therapist, Brainspotting practitioner, RMTi consultant, Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher and Reiki Master. All the modalities we use as a Somatic Therapist have helped us on our own healing journey. Through our own lived experiences as well as the professional continuing trainings we have adapted how we offer support and therapy for extreme trauma and dissociation. It’s a blend of what has worked for us as well as the wisdom from our teachers and supervisors.

This session will give an introduction to The Attention Age, some reasons why attention is currently such a hot commodity, and how this entangles with C-PTSD, DID, shame, relational trauma, neurodivergence, and the industry gatekeepers for DID research.
Social media fleeting attention traps are set for humanity as a whole. How can we navigate this landscape safely and get more hearty and lasting attention — especially given our community’s additional needs & vulnerabilities? We’ll ask those questions and give some ideas for how to work on them individually and together as a community.
The Crisses rediscovered their plurality in 1986 and are still onboarding and welcoming headmates today. They share their experience and selves-help information openly as an otherkin-identified DID-diagnosed polyfragmented gateway system through kinhost.org and other outlets. They are geeks, authors, content creators, instructors, healers, life coaches, and mental health advocates. They live in the ancestral homeland of the Lenee Lanape now known as upstate New York.

We go into noticing our ever-shifting art styles and ideas throughout our artistic journey, and how it played a huge role in accepting our plurality.
If you& or your system are artists, are questioning plurality and need ways to connect with your system, we hope you& can feel inspired and take whatever helps in our presentation!
We are the ABSTRACT.HOUSE. We are a 22 year old adaptive DID system, AuDHD and Latino. We've made art together our whole lives as a lonely child, from illustrations, character designs, writing, and music. From the very beginning, our art has served as a way to communicate with each other's ideas and perspectives. Though we knew something was different about us, we had no idea that switching from one art direction and identity to another was one of the many signs of our DID.

We will share stories, have some laughs, deconstruct ‘denial,’ and explore the role of starting-where-you-are, intuitive knowing, and even *not* knowing, in inner & outer liberation. This personal talk by newly-aware-‘traumagenic DID system’/plural and longtime self/peer-healer Iridescent Birdie is for folks at any ‘stage’ of identity or personal growth. It will end with an epic poem on the conference theme: We are the Revolution!
Having survived recurring trauma since birth, Iridescent Birdie is a true original, on an ongoing quest for personal and collective healing. A professional social justice organizer for decades, she/they now teach energy medicine, perform poems at events, and are writing a book called Stuffed Animal Alchemy. Birdie hadn’t heard of dissociation or plurality until last year! She is a newly-aware system-in-progress who knows we don’t have to be ‘further along’ to help one/many-another.

And at the same time, it has completely screwed up my relationship to my own agency.
For a decade, I learned, through therapy primarily, that I couldn't trust my own emotions, thoughts, or decisions. That I had to build my life around what a therapist or doctor said was most reasonable and safe. If you've been in mental health treatment, you've probably gotten the same kind of advice that basically boils down to: "It doesn't matter what you do, you'll always be mentally ill, so just do what we say. Don't make any of your own decisions, you cannot be trusted."
And as plural people, this can feel particularly true. We know there are multiple of us, all with different opinions and desires and needs, and that can make us feel inherently unstable.
But what if we're not? What if those multiple perspectives aren't strings all being pulled in opposite directions, but rather, crossbeams supporting the structure of our life?
What if we know ourselves best?
In this presentation, I'll break down common, but very unhelpful, therapy dynamics that can rob you of your agency, and how you can learn to trust yourself again.
Megan Griffith (she/they) is a shame oracle and psychospiritual healer who uses a mixture of psychology and witchcraft to help people acknowledge and heal their shame so that it no longer controls them. She is autistic & ADHD, and has depression and OSDD. Their system is primarily organized by color, and while Cornflower Blue and Mint Green are the most common fronters, she is learning to love and embrace the whole rainbow of who she is.

For far too long, multiplicity has been disrespectfully and inaccurately portrayed in media, with only a few respectful representations that are few and far between. But people are working to change that, there is a media movement of Own Voices that is rising up to tell the world that This Is Our Story. It takes immense courage and strength to share something so vulnerable, but we need to use our voices to turn the tides. How will you tell your story?
I have studied at university and completed a Bachelor of Animal Science, Graduate Diploma of Arts, and currently studying a Masters in Teaching (Secondary), I have spent much of my life studying and thinking a great deal about many things. We discovered our multiplicity around 2014-2015. At the time, media was a significant part of our lives (reading, watching tv and movies, etc), and yet no representation of multiplicity ever felt representative of our experiences. In fact, seeing media representations made us deny plurality for longer because we didn't fit what we had seen. Since then, I've often thought about how poor multiplicity (more specifically, DID) representation is, and how often unintentional/non-explicit representation feels more accurate, so I recently started a podcast discussing this. But I have never found anything more accurate and powerful than reading and watching stories from multiples and their own lived experiences, and these stories have been my guiding light in my own healing journey.

Do you want to help others in a way that changes the world? Mutual aid is one such way to get involved, change a life, and change the world. We bring this same energy to our plural work, this year speaking about the intersections of our local work with our plural work and how we have applied lessons learned from one to the other.

Child parts are often viewed as highly vulnerable parts/alters/selves who need to be protected at all costs. And whilst this can be true, there is often a lot of wisdom and capablility held by child parts/alters/selves that can go unseen and ignored when child parts/alters/selves are treated as breakable. In this talk we hope to expand the understanding of child parts/alters/selves and talk about how to safely welcome them into your life and hear their wisdom. I hope that people listening and watching can learn to accept parts/alters/selves of themselves they have been previously too scared to accept, and see just how remarkable all parts/alters/selves of us are.Opening Panel: Collective Wisdom towards Healing Organized Harm: Shifting the Impacts of RAMCOA/OEplural events2026-06-12 | Cheryl Rainfield, Brigadoon System, and Katie Keech will collaboratively be discussing briefly some personal experiences with their own RAMCOA / OEA histories and the trio will focus on what worked to support them through this experience into more agency and healing in order to support other systems to find ways to be able to achieve the same.

In this talk, Stronghold, founder of The Plural Association Nonprofit, shares what they wish they had known about DID, dissociation, and physical health, alongside a celebration of five years of Plural community and advocacy.
This session covers what can cause dissociation that often goes unchecked, why doctors so often miss physical illness in trauma survivors, what the disabled and Plural communities taught us about surviving systems that were not built for us, and why Plurality is a movement that cannot be stopped.
Part celebration, part education, part call to action. Whether you are Plural, a System exploring your experience, an ally, or a clinician wanting to understand Plurality from the inside, there is something here for you. The Plural Association is the first and only grassroots, peer-led, volunteer-led nonprofit built by Plurals, for Plurals. Learn more at powertotheplurals.com

Katie Keech (they/them) is a LMFT and plural therapist specialized in complex trauma and dissociation, co-founders of The Refractory.
This session explores how to shift concepts around working with plurality from a disease model that's centered in the DSM, to transforming looking at clinical work with plurality from a lens of neurodiversity and social disability. We will discuss parallels with the autism movement and how that has impacted the plurality movement as well as looking at assumptions made in establishment oriented theoretical models and the holes in those. We will examine more holistic and affirmative ways to support plural systems that push outside the boundaries of the traditional medical model into the neurodiversity affirmative lens. This lecture is suitable for clinicians, peers, supporters, and individuals with lived experience of plurality.

Hi there.
We go by Verses, collectively, we are a neurodiverse system of trauma-survivors. A lot of us are Queer, we have a lot of various disabilities & neuro-spicy conditions that we're learning to navigate together in functional multiplicity. We are in stable addiction-Recovery as well.
Our session is about working together to build and maintain different skills to make every-day life easier and more enjoyable as a system of trauma survivors. Understanding trauma symptoms as a set of processes and which skills can help for which processes. How building this understanding for us has given us the freedom to be authentic in our lives and to live openly working together as a system.
It is for anyone who has also had to deal with any of these things we've had to learn to cope with, or who could benefit from learning more about this. It's for anyone really who is interested and we hope something we have to share can be of benefit to anyone who watches.
Some difficulties we have dealt with may be mentioned in passing and without detail. We will keep a focus on the skills we are building together that help us to navigate these difficulties and how we use these skills in daily life.
We will explain a little about what some of these things are and why they are relevant, what they look like and how we can learn new ways to respond that make it easier to function.

Nikia Chaney is a poet, writer, and educator whose work explores identity, community, and the intersections of Blackness, creativity, and mental health. As the author of several poetry collections and memoir about mental illness she brings a lyrical and deeply introspective voice to themes of belonging, memory, and transformation in her work. A passionate advocate for literature and the arts, Nikia is the founder of Jamii Publishing, a press dedicated to amplifying the voices of Black women writers. She has served as Inlandia Literary Laureate and has facilitated numerous workshops, readings, and community programs aimed at fostering creative expression and social engagement.
Her current research and writing also engage with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), particularly within the experiences of Black women. Drawing from personal experience and interdisciplinary scholarship, she explores how identity, trauma, and cultural narratives shape the understanding of DID. Nikia continues to write, teach, and advocate, believing in the power of storytelling as a means of healing, resistance, and radical self-acceptance.
How do Black identity, spirituality, and mental health intersect in shaping our understanding of the self?
This session explores the complexities of Black identity through the lens of multiplicity, including experiences of dissociation, trauma, resilience, and ancestral wisdom. We will examine how Black cultural traditions—both spiritual and communal—offer alternative ways of understanding identity beyond Western psychological frameworks. Through storytelling, discussion, and reflection, we will consider how fragmentation and wholeness coexist in Black lived experiences, challenging dominant narratives and embracing the fullness of Black being.
This session welcomes anyone interested in exploring the intersections of Blackness, mental health, and spirituality.

Liorah Hoek I am Liorah Hoek (she/they), a queer disabled integrated poly-fragmented plural, living and working in The Netherlands. I am trained as an artist, journalist and scholar. I work as a researcher and change maker in the fields of disability, madness and culture. Currently I am doing a PhD research with artists with plural identities. In this research we explore our ability to identify beyond binary identity markers with what is supposed to be alien or other to our bodies. This ability to identify with otherness is an expertise, which could be valuable in a polarised society.
About session: We are living in a world where being singlet is the norm and being plural is seen as a psychiatric disorder. When we try to think and speak about plurality from a more cultural or identity based perspective we face several obstacles, In society, in science and also in our current understanding of plurality. In this session a few concepts will be introduced that might be helpful to overcome these obstacles: paradigm, models of disability/plurality, epistemic injustice, hermeneutic resources and crip. These concepts may help us to understand more clearly what our community can do to come to an experience based understanding and representation of plurality. Research on Meet the Alters vlogs om YouTube will be used as an example how these concepts create a counter-narrative to existing research on plural vlogs on video-based platforms. The session will be in plain language for all who are interested in representation of plurality in media and how we can create a viable counter-narrative to existing understandings of plurality.
Topic of the session plural culture, epistemic injustice, hermeneutic resources, Meet the Alters vlogs, disability studies, mad studies, crip theory

We are a system almost entirely of fictives who have formed our own identities, and decided who we are now, beyond our possible pasts. Our body is a mixed black, white, and Native US citizen, disabled, bisexual, trans female to male, and just trying to get by. We faced a childhood of horrors and undiagnosed and untreated medical problems, got diagnosed with DID in college, dropped out due to increasingly bad ME/CFS and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, then in a few years managed to get on SSI, and a best friend from school became our caregiver.
We've been aware of our plurality as a concept since age six or seven, and want to use our knowledge of teamwork as well as self-reflection, and the mix of both spiritual and trauma-based beliefs and selves in our system, to try and help others. Especially through our talent for writing, and many intersectional perspectives, bodily speaking. The best thing to remember, at least to us, is that you don't know how others feel, so you may as well talk about it, instead of argue. And this goes for our other selves, too.
Plurality and the plural experience not being a monolith, over there years there's been debate within the community on whether or not spirituality within plural spaces has a place, or if it just gives outsiders ammo to shun us further from everyday life, and call us the "c" word. Well, Team Renewal is here to argue that spirituality in plural spaces is both a good thing, and maybe even a necessary thing-- maybe even something that can bring us closer to civil rights, wherever we hail from. I'll drive parallels between the pro-plural movement and the American civil rights movement, and try to show why I believe so strongly (no pun intended) that our faith shows we are just as normal and sound-of-mind as everyone who says we're not.

Semzyiri is a surrealist, a multimedia strategist & artist, community connector, and an advocate for collectivist existential plurality.
What does it mean to achieve a collectivist plurality of being?
What steps could we devise to create a sandbox for ourselves that enables us to reach within - beyond labels, beyond our very sense of selves, into the nothingness of being that is driven by a curiosity to discover?
How do we re-frame ourselves from a collectivist lens, to approach both our intangible inner societies, and the tangible external cultures and communities we inhabit?
How we restructure our sense of experience from the perspective of monist plurality where we look at ourselves as an inseparable wholeness with enough space for all parts to remain interconnected and independent, like the theory of quantum cosmology defines the make of our universe?
These are some heavy questions to read, listen, repeat, and process. These might give us an understanding of how to approach ourselves, without institutional frameworks, either scientific or spiritual or both, and understand ourselves purely through our own lived experience in relation to everyone else's.
This session is meant for plurals and singlets alike who are looking to make sense of their own inner state of being, and draws from our system's journeys within our inner space, and from our understanding of existence from a culturally nomadic lens.
The session will be broken down into eight parts with each of our system member's perspective added, taking the participants through this discovery of selves and guide people into thinking in a way that is unique to each person(s).

Presenter: The Maelstrom Constellation I've& been an aware plurality for 13 years, and have spent recent years connecting with plural community and learning about the variety and diversity we have as a whole. The intersections I'm& at also inform the way I& look at plurality, being a disabled, chronically ill, trans (specifically xenine), queer advocate, and an artist, I've& had a lot of exposure to how these things intersect with plurality. Many pluralities end up feeling like they don't count, or don't fit in, because they don't have or do certain things that they've been told were required parts of the plural experience. I& also do focus a lot on the experience of having severe chronic illness and how that can impact the way your plurality functions when you have extensive and delicate body management needs.
About Session: A discussion of my& experiences with social relationships as a system and as a Terminal; joy and fulfilment in the face of chronic illness; loving and being loved through the challenges of life in an ableist world. For anyone and anymany.

Presenter: G (Seans) We are a former top executive of a national retail chain. We were diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder late in life (at 54 - now 62), although our system began 'wobbling' considerably for several years prior to being diagnosed. We have been married for 39 years. We were 'forced' into therapy by our partner under threat of "If you don't get some answers/help, I have to consider leaving the marriage" - something like that - forgive the use of the word 'forced' because of its other connotations/uses.
We found a counsellor and started sessions in which he introduced us/me to IFS. After a few months with him, he stopped working with us under that model and suggested we find someone with more experience treating DID (which we had never heard of). After a difficult search, we found ourselves in the care of Psychologist, Dr. Rick Bradshaw - very fortunate but expensive. Although the Canadian Health Care system is known for 'free health care', our governments do not cover Dissociative Disorders - At $170/hr. (slightly more now). We do receive money as a PWD (Person With Disability) - most of which goes to therapy.
Under Dr. Bradshaw's care and because of our ability to learn - our curiosity and determination, we have made great progress, especially in the last four years. Finding Dr. Bradshaw has been life saving. We have achieved a great deal of cooperation, healing, and co-consciousness as a result of his treatment and the strategies that we have discovered and developed for home use between sessions.

About Session: We will cover the basics of predictive coding neuroscience framework and explore what is plurality within that framework. We will learn about the difference between minimal self and social self and how can a brain have more than one of each? We will learn about the potential role of trauma in facilitating some systems from the neural perspective. Presenter: The Disc System We are The Disc System, we use They/He pronouns collectively, bodily we are 22y/o though we have members with a variety of ages. We are a self diagnosed mixed origin DID system, and self diagnosed with autism. We are diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and ADHD. We are bodly brown, from Brazil. We are collectively trans non-binary and queer, being queer is intrinsic to our experiences. Music holds a very deep connection to us, hence why we chose the name “Disc” System! Art in general is very special to us and we use it as a form or expression.
About Session: In this session, we go through our journey of gender discovery. We talk about our personal history, dealing with dysphoria, transphobia and selves-doubt. With this session, we hope to share more positivity, information and different experiences so that other plurals may find comfort in their own queer and trans experiences.

Presenter: Brassbergs PNG system The tulpamancer, Chaote, Plural and so on here to answer your questions about Tulpamancy!
more info: https://linktr.ee/MerserpentRadio
About Session: Tulpamancy is sadly slightly demonized. We would want to show the view of Tulpamancy as something helpful instead of something to be wary about. We will share our experiences as plurals about this subject and hopefully answer some of the most burning questions about it. Tulpamancy can be something very helpful once you give it a chance.
Shortly described: Tulpamancy is the practice of creating a sentient though form called a Tulpa. These beings are used in horror all around, but we want to show another view on Tulpamancy. How it's a helpful and mindful practice

Presenter: Zeta We are a system of many, with many interest. While some of us have been actively doing plural activism on different levels, other are working on a scientific study aiming at systems. Then we also do a plural podcast.
About Session: Can you proof it?
Plural science is often an daunting to approach for systems. It is full of outright denial of plural existence, be it healthy or disordered. It can be easy to feel overwhelmed by the amount and ideas surrounding it. And yet, it can be full of helpful resources and studying the science corpus enables systems to engage in discussions on equal footing.
My talks is aimed towards systems who are interested into learning more about plural science, but feel intimidated by it. I will give a quick overview how to read scientific texts, what are typical quality markers in a text, how the current landscape of plural research looks like, what are important names in the field and I will show some papers as example.
In the end, the audience should feel inspired and empowered to go onto their own journey learning more about the science of plurality. This talk is specifically aimed at people who see themselfs as amateurs in science.

About Session: This webinar will follow the life of a person from the time of arrest to the time of release, detailing the processes that occur while progressing through the penal/court system. Throughout this movement, there are several opportunities for a clinician to provide services to the detained person which varies depending upon the bias of the agency employing the clinician. Included will be an essay written by me which highlights the use of self/ selves during the interview process and the need to identify, and manage transference and counter transference with detained people who have in some way been accused of or committed acts that resemble my personal experience.

Presenter: Ash Chudgar As a coach and consultant, Ash helps human systems communicate more skillfully in diverse communities at every scale — out in the world and within themselves. Their practice draws on their experience as an IFS practitioner, writer and strategist, and teacher of fiction and poetry.
About Session: In this session, we’ll explore how Systems can adapt the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model to suit their own needs, and how IFS theory can evolve to be more inclusive of Plural experience. As an approach to psychotherapy, IFS is quickly growing in popularity worldwide. It teaches that human psychology is naturally multiple, and that healing happens when we know and love every part of who we are. Yet despite the clear affinity between IFS and Plurality, the model is still largely taught and practiced without considering the real diversity of Plural experience. As a Plural IFS practitioner, I want to change that for everymany!
