I was unsure of how to move forward without her. Over the course of these last five years, I have come to understand that resilience encompasses more than mere survival. Pollution, radiation, and natural calamities have all combined to create an environmental catastrophe on Earth. It was now obvious that humans needed to leave Earth and look for a new home in the stars if they were to survive as a species.For a long time, scientists and engineers around the globe and the use of an evoluted AI, joined their forces trying to perfect a spacecraft that could carry a large group of people to a new planet. By 2187, the Hypervellion had been finished. It was a huge ship, well over a kilometer in length, with cutting-edge equipment for quantum propulsion, life support, and artificial intelligence.Choosing only one million individuals to leave Earth and embark on the Hypervellion community's new voyage was no easy task. Age, health, talents, and genetics were only few of the criteria considered throughout the selection process. Those that were chosen were sent to a new planet where they could begin their lives again, far apart from the environmental hazards that had afflicted Earth.The ability to store the genetic material from all flora and fauna, as well as DNA sequences and mental states of millions of individuals was a major design goal of the Hypervellion. Liling's dream was to leave Zhangjiajie one day to be free as her voice, as a bird traveling the world and showering kindness and love to everyone she met along the way.One day, when Liling sat in the forest singing, a wise and ancient dragon spirit came to her, attracted by such a lovely voice. The Spirit, whose vision and wisdom were far more than any mortal could reach, sensed Liling's sensibility and pure heart and pledged to fulfill her greatest wish in exchange for her singing for him. Liling eagerly accepted the deal and began singing a beautiful melody. She was transformed into a beautiful and radiant dragon at the song's end.The limitations of the human body no longer constrained Liling. Irene Rodríguez & Pablo Cano) *** D.A *** Ivan Torrent 2023-02-21 | The Flamingos had always attracted Irene because they represented the freedom and beauty that lied just beyond the horizon. To her, there was a captivating majesty in their crimson color, and their beautiful flight when they migrate to warmer zones.Besides that, she adored Flamenco and Hispanic music. Furthermore, as a passionate guitarist, Irene understood that the heart of flamenco genre, rested in the interaction of music and emotion. To me, there was some connection between the two conceptions. So I set out to make a song that would pay honor to her enthusiasm, and although it is not a flamenco song, it attempts to reproduce both her love of playing guitar and the feeling of freedom that she always sought. I went to my colleague Pablo Cano, one of the best guitarists I know, to help me realize this idea. Pablo played the tune so beautifully that when he sent me the takes I was fascinated. And I’m pretty sure many people can relate to the same mood and critical stages that the loss of a relative or beloved one imprints in us. In my case, this was suddenly. No one is prepared to assume a loss of a sibling in such a way as a car crash. I will never forget the first moment my couple received the news and dared to preserve the calm and take care of me until we went to my mom’s house, where I finally realized what had happened. I need to explain this because it is essential to fully understand this song. These first string notes relate those moments of uncertainty yet intuiting that something terrible is happening until the moment you fully understand it. Still, you deny it, and the anger and pain domain your life for a long, long time... This song talks about the three first stages of grief: those days, weeks, and months battling with denial, anger, and bargaining. I want to make a special mention to Merethe Soltvedt, for the love and respect she put on every single note with her beautiful voice.
