In this SEA lecture, A/Prof. Christine Slade presents the work of the Association of Authentic, Experiential, and Evidence-based Learning’s (AAEEBL) Task Force on Digital Ethics in ePortfolios. The Task Force focused on developing, revising, and sharing principles, strategies, scenarios, and resources to promote ethical ePortfolio practices among educators, staff, students, and platform providers. Key areas addressed include labour visibility, support systems, equitable access, data storage, and privacy.
Shari Bowker also discusses the concept of student feedback literacy and its implications for using ePortfolios in assessment and feedback. She shares examples from The University of Queensland (UQ) that aim to support the student in developing skills related to generating internal feedback, processing feedback, and using feedback to improve their work and learning outcomes.
