Rust Editing Contest V4 | Competition @strikerproduction

Striker Production Rust Editing Contest is a series of competitions for advanced editors and for new editors who have potential in this field of video editing. The purpose of the context is to assess the editing skills. This also comes with great exposure for potential winners.
The first competition was in 2018. For every competition were provided 2 packs: a pack with pre-rendered Rust clips and a pack with Rust sounds. In some competitions were provided even demos for those who want to create their own cinematics.
For this type of contest the host will not be receiving any monetary benefits, but the winners will be rewarded. They will be chosen according to their creativity, content execution( clips cuts, story, content start, content ending, cinematics and others), VFX(visual effects), SFX( sound effects), flow( synchronization with music and other sound aspects). After the deadline, the result of the contest will be published and the winners will receive the prizes for this competition soon.
This contest will be crowdfunded, so if you wish to become a sponsor in order to increase the prize pool size, don’t hesitate to leave a message on discord server. Also if you want to support the upcoming contest, there is plenty of work to do with the demo recording part. The part in which you create fake action requires a lot of player interactions, and your help will be appreciated.

Tips for new editors:
Usefull plugins for editing ae/sv :twixtor, rsmb, bbc, magic bullet.
Increase the speed of cinematic clips by x3 to get almost the normal speed in game.
For pov clips don't use lower vellocity (speed) than x0,5 without twistor, otherwise your video could have lag.
I recommend to make your edit in 25/28 fps instead of 30, to avoid the framedrops from some cines.

Striker Production 2022-09-19 | This is a video editing competition at COD:MW3 for people who have potential and creativity in this field of video editing. The winners will be chosen according to their creativity, content execution(clips cuts, story, content start, content ending, cinematics, and others), VFX(visual effects), SFX(sound effects), flow(synchronization with the music and other sound aspects). After the deadline, the results of the contest will be published and the winners will receive the prizes for the competition soon.
By submitting a valid entry in the registration form, using the contest intro, you will assign all the copyrights to use your content.
The video must have at least 10 seconds without the intro, using the video clips provided, or using your own clips based on the provided demos. You don't have to use all clips from the pack in your video, and the same goes for the usage with the demos too. Your participation will not be considered if you have not used the clips or demos from this contest.
For registration, you will need to provide your PayPal account to receive the prize if you will win.
Unlimited registration is allowed.
The registration can be done only through the competition form.
The intro can be modified as long as it remains clean, and text elements must be readable.
You can even use 3D footage if it has a reference to the game or to the provided demos.

The winners will be chosen according to their creativity, content execution(clips cuts, story, content start, content ending, cinematics, and others), VFX(visual effects), SFX(sound effects), flow(synchronization with the music and other sound aspects). After the deadline, the results of the contest will be published and the winners will receive the prizes for the competition soon.
By submitting a valid entry in the registration form, using the contest intro, you will assign all the copyrights to use your content.
The video must have at least 10 seconds without the intro, using the video clips provided, or using your own clips based on the provided demos. You don't have to use both packs or all clips from a pack in your video, and at the same goes the usage with the demos too. Your participation will not be considered if you have not used the clips or demos from this contest.

Both packs contain the same video clips but in different formats of layers. The video format is AVI, Codec: Xvid, so you will have to have the Xvid codec installed (the download link is below).
Pack v1 layers: normal layer and depth layer.
Pack v2 layers: world layer, green screen models layer, death notice layer, and depth layer.
For the AVI packs, I recommend decompressing the videos with VirtualDub or another software for a better editing performance.
Packs contain clips at 300fps, some cinematics are at x0.5 time-speed 300fps.

Stuck In The System | War Thunder

Striker Production 2021-10-07 | After so many years, I finally done an edit at War Thunder with a decent editing level. I used to play a lot with Russian tanks, so I chose to have a little action with a T-44 and to represent it in few cinematics. The game has the potential to create cinematics but some basic notions are missing like camera speed and depth of field settings, so I was a bit limited from these points of view.

Rust Editing Contest is a series of competitions for advanced editors and for new editors who have potential in this field of video editing. The purpose of the context is to assess the editing skills. This also comes with great exposure for potential winners.
The first competition was in 2018. For every competition were provided 2 packs: a pack with pre-rendered Rust clips and a pack with Rust sounds. In some competitions were provided even demos for those who want to create their own cinematics.

Wish Wish | Rust

Striker Production 2021-08-05 | This is a casual Rust edit, meaning that I spent few time working at this video. The edit was made in 3 days: 1 day for recording demos and cinematics, 2 days for the actual video and sound editing. Don't get me wrong, isn't so good, the velocity is sharp and some cuts aren't well executed. I found few problems when I was recording cinematics, the graphics although it was at high settings, some objects and textures in graphics were at very poor quality.

Cover Your Eyes | Rust

Striker Production 2021-07-15 | After so many days spend on this edit, I'm glad to say in this one I tried new stuff and I'm happy with the results. I tried a new style of editing, different transitions and a simple 3d animation with a bow arrow. I don't have so much time for editing as I had before, but in this project I have spend more time as usually in others. I had a big motivation on it.

Rust Editing Contest V8 | Competition

Striker Production 2021-06-19 | Rust Editing Contest is a series of competitions for advanced editors and for new editors who have potential in this field of video editing. The purpose of the context is to assess the editing skills. This also comes with great exposure for potential winners.
The first competition was in 2018. For every competition were provided 2 packs: a pack with pre-rendered Rust clips and a pack with Rust sounds. In some competitions were provided even demos for those who want to create their own cinematics.
For this type of contest the host will not be receiving any monetary benefits, but the winners will be rewarded. They will be chosen according to their creativity, content execution( clips cuts, story, content start, content ending, cinematics and others), VFX(visual effects), SFX( sound effects), flow( synchronization with music and other sound aspects). After the deadline, the result of the contest will be published and the winners will receive the prizes for this competition soon.
This contest will be crowdfunded, so if you wish to become a sponsor in order to increase the prize pool size, don’t hesitate to leave a message on discord server. Also if you want to support the upcoming contest, there is plenty of work to do with the demo recording part. The part in which you create fake action requires a lot of player interactions, and your help will be appreciated.

Informations:
Unlimited registration is allowed.
The registration can be done only through the form.
The intro can be modify as long as it remain clean, text elements must be readable.
There's no rule for minimum or maximum length.
Both packs contains pov clips 60fps x1 timespeed and cinematics clips 60 fps at x0.01, x0.1, x0.3, x1 timespeed.
You don't have to use both packs or all clips to participate, but you can record your own cinematics with the demos provided.
The pack comes with a Rust sound pack.
You can even use 3D footage if it has reference to the game.
Packs have the procedural map file where the clips where recorded. In order to fix all map bugs from demos, you have to copy the "proceduralmap.3720.133272622.213.map" file, from packs files "..\Pack\Fix Demos\", in this location: "..\steamapps\common\Rust\maps".

Information:
Both packs contains pov clips 60fps x1 timespeed and cinematics clips 60 fps at x0.01, x0.1, x0.3, x1 timespeed. You don't have to use both packs or all clips to participate, also you can record your own cinematics with the demos provided. The packs comes with a Rust sound pack. You can use even 3D footage if it has reference to the game. The intro can be modify as long as it remain clean, text elements must be readable. There's no rule for minimum or maximum length.

Rust Editing Contest is a series of competitions for people who have potential in this field of video editing. The purpose of the context is to assess the editing skills. This also comes with great exposure for potential winners.
The first competition was in 2018. For every competition were provided 2 packs: a pack with pre-rendered Rust clips and a pack with Rust sounds. In some competitions were provided even demos for those who want to create their own cinematics.
For this type of contest the host will not be receiving any monetary benefits, but the winners will be rewarded. They will be chosen according to their creativity, content execution( clips cuts, story, content start, content ending, cinematics and others), VFX(visual effects), SFX( sound effects), flow( synchronization with music and other sound aspects). After the deadline, the result of the contest will be published and the winners will receive the prizes for this competition soon.
This contest will be crowdfunded, so if you wish to become a sponsor in order to increase the prize pool size, don’t hesitate to leave a message on discord server. Also if you want to support the upcoming contest, there is plenty of work to do with the demo recording part. Sleepless Night | PUBG

Striker Production 2020-12-07 | Here is my first edit at PUBG using the cinematic tool. The experience with the tool wasn't that great, it has camera movement lag, at changing of timeline in the demo from pause will play automatically, because is set to autoplay. You can't preview the fov changing at adding keyframes, or the camera rotation, just the depth of field. Even the real-time render in-game has poor performance, as you can notice in some cinematics few textures are in low quality, or the anti-aliasing isn't loaded. As an editor, I will say that this tool would be much better with some changes.

All frags were made by me and it was weird to come back to the game after 2-3 years to find it full of bots. The game will die soon in this mode, so I wanted to make one or two edits before that. This one is the first and I will come up with another one, better than this one, cause this one it's more like a fragmovie, I kept it clean. Should be longer than 1 min but I lost the motivation on this song so I decided to use the other clips in another edit.

You will need Xvid codec (xvid.com/download/).
(For Sony Vegas)To avoid the bad performance in editing uncompress the clips with VDub/Vegas.

Usefull plugins for editing ae/sv :twixtor, rsmb, bbc, magic bullet.
Increase the speed of cinematic clips by x3 to get almost the normal speed in game.
For pov clips don't use lower vellocity (speed) than x0,5 without twistor, otherwise your video could have lag.
I recommend to make your edit in 25/28 fps instead of 30, to avoid having framedrops from some cines.

Rust Editing Contest V5 | Competition

Striker Production 2019-12-01 | Rust Editing Contest is a series of competitions for advanced editors and for new editors who have potential in this field of video editing. The purpose of the context is to assess the editing skills. This also comes with great exposure for potential winners.
The first competition was in 2018. For every competition were provided 2 packs: a pack with pre-rendered Rust clips and a pack with Rust sounds. In some competitions were provided even demos for those who want to create their own cinematics.
For this type of contest the host will not be receiving any monetary benefits, but the winners will be rewarded. They will be chosen according to their creativity, content execution( clips cuts, story, content start, content ending, cinematics and others), VFX(visual effects), SFX( sound effects), flow( synchronization with music and other sound aspects). After the deadline, the result of the contest will be published and the winners will receive the prizes for this competition soon.
This contest will be crowdfunded, so if you wish to become a sponsor in order to increase the prize pool size, don’t hesitate to leave a message on discord server. Also if you want to support the upcoming contest, there is plenty of work to do with the demo recording part. The part in which you create fake action requires a lot of player interactions, and your help will be appreciated.

Tips for new rust editors:
(For Sony Vegas)To avoid the bad performance in editing uncompress the clips with VDub/Vegas.

Usefull plugins for editing ae/sv :twixtor, rsmb, bbc, magic bullet.
Increase the speed of cinematic clips by x3 to get almost the normal speed in game.
For pov clips don't use lower vellocity (speed) than x0,5 without twistor, otherwise your video could have lag.
I recommend to make your edit in 25/28 fps instead of 30, to avoid having framedrops from some cines.

Deep in rain | VW Golf MK.3 | IRL

Striker Production 2019-08-04 | We pushed our limits to create something new, so in this way, we did it with a car edit. Some insane visual effects with this amazing song could fit better, but the concept had to be clean. All the overlays and lens flares are there the reason to hide some details like reflections from the car and to make it smooth (for transitions in special), also some reflections from the car were removed with Xara Photo. The video stabilization was made with AAE and SV Pro 16, therefore differences between certain scenes are noticeable. Almost every sound was replaced, in some parts I use the original sounds like exhaust pipe, and RPM and the car engine sounds were replaced as well to make it more powerful and to fit at the last part where the clips were at 130% - 140% velocity.
