PEQUETREN MODEL TRAINS RUNNING silectric 2022-02-14 | Pequetren toy model trains are made in Spain. They are battery powered and approximately HO scale. Track is a plateway where the un-flanged wheels of the loco and wagons run. Shown here are two sets I bought in Spain a t different times.An unique feature of these Pequetren models is their partial tin plate construction. At one time this was a common construction system for models of all types, including trains. These models have a plastic base around which is wrapped printed and embossed tin plate. It is rather a clever system as the same chassis can be use for many different locos and rolling stock, all that changes is the printing on the tinplate

Natterjack Enduro, Bordon 1986 silectric 2021-02-20 | In 1986 the British round of the European Motorcycle Emduro Championship was held at Bordon in Hampshire. Present was the MZ team from East Germany and members of the UK MZ Riders Club went to cheer them on. This is an 8mm film of the event.

Abbey Light Railway: Construction and Operation. silectric 2020-08-30 | When I started work in Leeds I was in an office with a guy who had just started building his own 2 feet gauge railway. It was situated at Kirkstall Abbey a couple of miles from Leeds centre. Over the years i visited a few time photographing and filming various activities. This film is all the Standard 8mm colour film I took. There is is no real sound, it was clockwork silent camera so the music track, all copyright free from BVG was added. Love it or hate it you can always mute the sound off.

Loco end is reasonably realistic but coaches seem to be based on those used in hot climates. Runs off 2 AA batteries so limited power. Nees to be a flat surface.

Z0 Steam Loco & Four Coaches silectric 2020-08-10 | One of my collection Z0 gauge battery locomotives. "Zwischen-Null" (between O) from Germany in the 1950s and suspect it reached China via East Germany. Scale 1/60 gauge 24mm. Only one axle is driven by a small motor running off 2 AA batteries, amd powering lights and noise generator as well. Coaches seem to be a standard hot country design.

So I tried it and it works. Requires a bit of modification to the lever screw so that it is tight on the new extended spindle. 2mm rod should do the trick.
