Air ride in 76 Thunderbird makkepuu 2019-04-18 | Slam Specialties SS7 bags in the rear of my '76 T-Bird. Pretty much a scavenge what you can + DIY installation. Airmaxxx manifold with 4 corner adjust, Airmaxxx 580 compressor and a 3 gallon fire extinquisher as an air tank. 10x6.5mm Poly-Urethane lines. The manifold has quite small passages in it, the lift is ok but the exhaust is slow. One small hole and every corner vents thru it. The Airmaxxx 580 compressor takes at least 5 minutes to fill the tank from 9.5bar (140psi) to 12.5 bar (180psi) and the cylinder heats up to 65 celcius (150F) at the bottom of the fins, on the surface it's about 35 celcius (95F), measured after 3 fills. I'll do the front end later. I'm a bit curious about the quality of Airmaxxx products

GAZ 67B / ГАЗ-67Б 1947 makkepuu 2018-08-04 | rare piece of soviet engineering. this "thing" was left in estonia back in the day and some estonian farmer chopped to body to make a tractor. it was eventually shipped to finland where it remains now. we've had this car in a shed for many years and now we decided to have some fun, scare some grandmas and offend people. the banging noises while driving came from body not being attached to the frame and the seats not being attached to the body

International D-246F and Zil-130 makkepuu 2015-01-18 | just messing around with trucks. the international is a veteran of winter war and continuation war. they imported a total of 48 d-246f's to tow cannons and haul mccormic bulldozers. some of the trucks were imported in late 1939 and the rest in 1941.the zil used to be a mig starter in the finnish air force. there was a russian variant of detroit diesel 8/71 and a generator in the back. check my channel, there's a video of it. before my father starts to crank up the zil you can see a international k7 truck. also a veteran of continuation war

sportster bobber makkepuu 2013-03-16 | '91 sportster xlh hugger 883. ledsled hardtail, 2" stretch, 200mm tire on 18" wheel. ledsled rear fender. frontwheel is 21x3.25" with 120/70 tire. sissybar made out of some rusty axel i found in the bushes. homemade oiltank, homemade forward controls with railway spikes as footpegs (my boots kept on slipping on those chome-shits you see on every bike). wide glide trees, shortened fontend. bullet turnsignals on front and all-in-one led lights on the rear. sporty 1200 custom gas tank with custom mounts. it sits lower on the rear on higher on front, with stock mounts it looked like it didn't belong. homemade electronics. all the fuses and relays are in the toolbox. handcontrols are from dna and they suck. the switches are poor quality and the brake cylinder is waaaayyyy too big for almost anything. come on, 3/4" and you (dna) tell it's okay for stock caliber??? feel-less on-off accident waiting to happend. i toke it to local machine shop and they made a aluminium pipe inside the master cylinder and then fabricated a new piston that had the seals of original hd and the measurements and lenght of the dna. then put it together and ta-daa it's the same as stock harley 5/8.the engine is bored to 1200cc, 9.5:1 compression. stock 883 heads. keihin cv carb with some mods. andrews n2 cams. dyna 2001 ignition. 2-1 supertrapp muffler. in the video it's -10 celcius (14f) and that's why the engine rattles like it does. i used forged wiseco pistons and they take some time to heat up. same goes for the cams, the timing gears make an extra rattle until the oil is warm. some future plans include taller risers, with those 6" my back hurts after an hour of riding. 8" straight or some pullpack would be good perhaps. and the neck, thinking 'bout rake of 35 to 38 degrees and 3deg trees. that should look cool with +8" frontend

Jawa Six Days type 553-04 makkepuu 2012-02-26 | This Jawa is completely rebuild, original six days. This Jawa passed museum registeration but it hasn't seen outside of carage since. I've seen a lot of army model Jawa's painted red and people call them six days. Nothing beats the original! The dude on the bike is it's owner, my dad.
1988 chevrolet caprice station wagon makkepuu 2012-02-23 | a little video about my daily driver. it's a '88 caprice classic wagon with very little extras. it has the basic oldsmobile 307y engine with th200-4r transmission. engine is in stock condition with original carb and distributor. all vacuum and electronic gadgets work so mpg rating isn't bad at all, about 21 miles per gallon or a bit over 11 litres per 100km. during the coldest part of winter when temperature was -30C (-22F) it guzzled about 12mpg.the car itself is in averrage condition. there's rust starting to appear here and there but it's not yeat rusted through anywhere. the only extras are cruise control and air condition but I think those come with the "Classic" package. two-way frontseat, no power windows except tailgate, radio doesn't have a cassette player. very bulk but still the best daily driver you could ask for. Ford Thunderbird 76 makkepuu 2011-09-03 | my daily driver. it has 90000miles on it. body is in great condition, 100% rust-free. 1/2 vinyl roof was totally blown up so i removed it and sprayed some sort of rubberish goo on it. interior is in fairly good condition except the roof vinyl, it sort a hangs. the engine is a stock ford / lincoln 460cid. i removed catalyctic converters and all the mufflers and replaced them with flowtech raptor turbo's. engine runs well but as you can see by the smoke, it burns oil. the engine doesn't breathe or blow oil from oil fill nor from the pcv so i'm pretty sure it's faulty valve seals. and hey, it's not that big of a gas guzzler, i've got it to run 19mpg (15l / 100km)

Jawa type 353 (1961) makkepuu 2010-07-30 | we were lucky to find this awesome jawa. it has been sitting in a barn for 40 years. 100% original, never restored or rebuild. engine runs ok. it had all the necessary paperwork and it was no problem to register it for road use. this jawa will never be restored. we have 250cc six days, 350cc six days and type 559 already in museum condition so this one will be kept as a daily driver, as it was ment to be when it was made 50 years ago.

the summer will come... makkepuu 2010-03-06 | presenting my hd sportster. here's little something i've done to it: little wider trees, 6" risers, drag bar, stretched gas tank, forward controls, pipes, a lot longer and wider swing, 160mm tire, it could fit 200mm with little mods. 11" shocks but the lower brackets are a way further back than normal so they lean forward and are stiff as hell. ride height without seat is about 23,5" (60cm). the color is RAL9005 "jetblack". now the bike looks pretty ok, i like the stance. a lot of people have been complaining how harleys are everywhere and how they're nothing special anymore. funny thing thou, the complainers never ever had one! NOTE! OFFROAD VIDEO FANS!!! i have a lot of new and older unseen material on tape. edited on youtube there would be at least 8 new videos. bad thing is, the video capture card is in my old computer and i gave it to my moms. also my dad sold our carage and the one we had with my friends was lost also, landlord motherfucker raised the rent about 1500% so i did the radical thing and bought myself my very own house. and because of that i had to sell about 80% of my shit, including all motocross bikes, 4x4's, my beloved thunderbird and so on. all i have left is this hd and the chevy c1500 fleetside next to it and a shitload of payments to my local bank ;D

Offroad Ylä-Pirkanmaa 2nd of feb.08 makkepuu 2008-02-02 | The biggest event ever, we had about 16 participants so we had to split in standard and modified classes :D I lead the standard class with my busted Range Rover. There was about 30cm snow and it was melting, nothing can be more slippery. We were stuck all the time. I accidentally hit a quite big mudhole and something happened to my carbs, the other one got stuck or something and it started to overfloat and the engine wouldn run idle anymore. I also busted the side panels, broke some roof lights, broke a brake line etc etc. Because of the busted carb it drained all of my fuel! I lost about 35 litres in less than 2km trail. Back to carage aye. I had 5 Toyota Land Cruisers following my lead, 2 LJ70's, RJ70 and 2 HJ61's. Dunno if anyone filmed the "modified" class. They had 2 UAZ's, Hi-Lux, Blazer, Range Rover, a load of different Land Cruiser's, some sort of rock crawler trial thing whatever and so on. Awesome event, next time I hope to keep my machinery in one piece :)

We started having these events on october 2006, the first two events were held at Jäähdyspohja, the area was rather small with one mountain and 5 or 6 routes to the top. The new area at Koronkylä has about 300 acres of playing ground, including swamps, mountain, forests, a small pond and almost everything imaginable.
