Super Meat Boy - Cotton Alley Dark No Deaths (Impossible Boy) and Tofu Boy HyperSonic 2024-05-23 | This is it, the last hard achievement before 100%. High regarded as one of the hardest achievements in gaming with a 10/10 difficulty rating, and only a few thousand true victors, Impossible Boy is a gauntlet of completing every single level in Chapter 7: The Cotton Alley's Dark World without dying once.This took me 31 hours to complete, 10 of those being practice, and 21 being attempts. Most of my attempts died before I reached 5 levels because of how hard the harder levels are. From my experience, the levels in the Dark World that are easier than the Light World are much easier, however, the opposite applies to the harder levels.IMPOSSIBLE BOY GUIDE AND TRICKS:Always start with 7-20X and 7-19X, Brag Rights and XOXO respectively. They are objectively harder due to Brag Rights' 10 frame tight hurdles in a row, and the last part of XOXO's jumps being frame tight. I am aware that you can squeeze through the sawblades in Brag Rights, but I don't recommend this because I haven't even done this.After 7-20X and 7-19X, move on to 7-13X, Bleach. There are plenty of tight jumps to make, and not a lot of time. I recommend making the same shortcut jump I did in my run so you don't struggle much.7-14X, 20/20, is a level I choked a lot on because I tried my old strategy of completing the top of the stage without running. Don't do that. Instead, do the top without running UNTIL you collect the Key, and then run so you can get to the leftmost platform. You may need to pause buffer like I did. Then, fall down to Meat Boy, and exit to the World Map.7-15X, Patience, is the final level with Maw Beasts, and it is quite tight. For starters, this level loads differently, which is why you should exit to the map, and select this, instead of continuing from 14X to 15X. Immediately start moving, and jump to the wall, and wall jump to the Key. Then, jump to wall to wall jump above you to the ledge, where you should hopefully not die to the Maw Beasts. Then, get the rhythm to lure the middle Maw Beast to the blocks. After the exit is unlocked, carefully jump to it. You may need to pause buffer. Continue to 7-16X.7-16X, Curls, is an easier version of Hopscotch that may require some pause buffering. Just ride the Orb similarly to how I do it, and at the final jump, do not stress over going under the platform Meat Boy is on as there is strangely an invisible wall on both sides of the starting and ending platform, which are not present in the Light World. Continue to 7-17X.7-17X, Bullet Proof, is a surprisingly easier level than it's Light World counterpart. The only hard part is the ending, which requires some pause buffering. Continue to 7-18X.7-18X, They Bite, is a time-consuming level due to wrangling up the Oobs before you release them off screen, and then collecting the Key, waiting a long time for the chain locks to disappear. Move on to either 7-1X or 7-6X.For 7-6X, Bone Machine, the hard part is getting over the sawblade, which requires three specific wall jumps: a full wall jump with two fast wall jumps before a huge jump over the sawblade. The rest is self-explanatory, but the setup is a choke point.7-1X, White Noise, the only hard part is the wall jump over the sawblade, and the next wall jump. My setup requires looking at the background wires, and getting Bandage Girl to go to the part where it bends so you can get over the sawblade. Look at the video for a better look.Next is 7-8X, In Line, which requires an instant jump so you can squeeze in the gap, and jump to the Key. Now, look at the middle decoration that resembles a cross. When the Clot's mouth touches the cross jump to the middle, and then jump twice before going to the finish line. Watch the video for more help.Next is 7-9X, Salt Shaker, a common hard point. Practice this level for a feel of what to do. I do this in the middle of the run, but if you need to, do this after 19X and 20X.7-10X, Masterblaster, is an easy level with one hard part, the second to last Missile Launcher. Do a quick wall jump to avoid it, and on the final Missile Launcher, run into the wall so it breaks. It won't hurt you if you're quick.7-11X, Thumb, is so hard normally that I've never beaten it without the skip. Practice it to the point where you can pull it off reliably like I did.With the hard ones out, do 7-12X, Pink, then move on to 7-2X-7-5X, and finish off with 7-7X, which requires practicing to pull off the magic pixel jump. Look at my completion to know how to pull it off. You may need to look at your screen to do this, and DON'T mess up.Recommended Order: 20, 19, 13-18, 6, 1, 8-12, 2-5, 7Final Order: 20, 19, 13-18, 6, 1, 8-12, 2-5, 7Difficulty Rating: 8/10#ImpossibleBoy #SuperMeatBoy #MeatBoy
Super Meat Boy - Cotton Alley Light No Deaths (Girl Boy Achievement) HyperSonic 2024-05-11 | Super Meat Boy - Cotton Valley Light No Deaths (Girl Boy Achievement)This achievement took 17 hours to get; 10 for actual attempts; 7 for practice. This is bigger than my now second longest being 12 hours on Rapture Dark No Deaths (Zombie Boy) with 12 hours; 4.5 for attempts; 7.5 for practice.The order for this achievement should be 7-20 and 7-19 first as there are 12 near frame perfect jumps that you have to make, almost in a row; 10 at the end of 7-20, and one at the beginning and end of 7-19 with two specific jumps in between.Next, go to either 7-15 to 7-18, 7-10 to 7-11, or 7-6 to 7-7 as those ones are quite difficult as seen by my close calls, and I have lost many runs that made it past 7-20 and 7-19 to that (like the failed 6 level run at the beginning of the video).7-15 is random due to the Maw Beasts, 7-16 is random due to the Orb (just use the same method as me). 7-17’s first and second jump are potential chokes, and 7-18 is Oob Hell. I barely made it out in this run.7-10 is a Missile level with an extremely tight final jump with two tight jumps beforehand. I pause buffered to make it. 7-11 is Missile Hell. Get used to the rhythm, and be specific with your jumps. Also, don’t try the extra jump at the end that I made in that level. I almost died.7-6 is a fast-paced autoscroller with two tight jumps. Make a full jump after getting the Key to skip two hops. 7-7 is a Fan level that honestly requires some level leaving as the timing is precise. Walk off the platforms, then hold run to make the gaps.7-13 is also a tough one that may be a choke if you’re nervous (I lost a high run to that). 7-1 to 7-3 is fairly easy, but 7-1 could be a choke point due to the wall jumps. 7-4 is also an obstacle with the zig-zag jumping, and 7-5 could get too close.7-8 was extremely easy, and 7-9 was not too bad. 7-12 is a bit tight, but easy to master, and finally 7-14 could be a choke (which I had twice). Thankfully I didn’t have a 19 level choke there and completed this at 4:05 AM today.Final Level Order: 20, 19, 15-18, 6-7, 4-5, 13, 1-3, 8-12, and 14.After this, it's Impossible Boy, known for being one of the hardest achievements in gaming ever. Relic Ruins Past US - HyperSonic Edition HyperSonic 2023-01-03 | This is currently the most unexpected track I’ve ever made in terms of development history, quality, and legacy.Since Relic Ruins has no official lore, I get some wiggle room in terms of what the music is supposed to describe. Relic Ruins is implied to be an ancient civilization that decayed into ruin. This ancient civilization is what Relic Ruins is in the past before it’s downfall, and hence, this track sounds like alike to a medieval kingdom. Some parts describe the nature of Relic Ruins Past, and others the medieval elements of Relic Ruins Past.Development Log:This is Relic Ruins Past US, a track that I started work on since December 29, 2022, not even an exact week from today, January 3, 2023. I decided to at least leave some ideas for Relic Ruins Past US since it was the only obstacle in my way from getting to remake the future themes. I didn’t expect to get so much progress done on that night. As soon as I got a melody that worked, I went with it. I was already finished with this track on January 2, 2023 around 1AM, just 5 days since drawing out ideas.For many people, it looks as if I upgraded immensely in December, after Desert Dazzle US’ final release in November, but I actually haven’t taken any musical theory classes in the past decade, or upgraded from LMMS to FL Studio it any other music making program. I just knew what to do with this type of music, likely due to researching which instruments were used in the medieval times and influence from mainly Little Witch Nobeta, a game that I didn’t expect to like so much. At the end of the day, I thank my father, God, for gracing/gifting me with this talent to create a track of this quality just like how he graced me during Desert Dazzle US last year.The melody of this track is based off of Nicolas Quiles’ theme for Relic Ruins Present US, which should be abundantly noticeable about a minute into this track. The piano melody is also based off of the melody of Relic Ruins Present US, but that similarity is far more subtle.This track, just like the American Soundtrack, is atmospheric and fitting, taking in all of the life of the surroundings of Sonic in his new adventure on Little Planet.This is my unexpected video for 4,000 subscribers. I didn’t intent for this to be the celebration, but it all just fell into place. Thank you all for subscribing to my channel. I didn’t expect the Sonic CD Brawl Archives to get so popular so fast.
