Six gill shark filmed from deep submersable leevet2 2008-10-03 | This is a video I shot of a six gill shark from the deep submersable 'Idebal. The video was shot at a depth of 2000'. The shark is a female, and we estimated her length of 24'. The dive took place in the Cayman Trench, off the coast of Roatan Honduras. I thought it was pretty cool, and would love to hear any comments on the natural history of the sharks. I might post some other areas we filmed around the site. Six Gill Shark from DSV (cont.) leevet2 2008-10-04 | After the shark had devoured our bait (a pigs head tied to a boom in front of the sub) she silted up the bottom alot, so this video is less clear than the other 2, but still got some nice close-ups
