There's also an extended version of this video, with a single extra scene included at 26:55. I cut the scene to help the flow of the ending and to cut some time out but since several moments in the video include setup for the scene I thought you might enjoy it regardless:
Here are a few other videos from other creators which demonstrate some of the principles discussed in Ideal Use: Burst Damage.
This clip shows off really nicely how Luck builds work with burst damage. Bleed builds essentially nerf your damage but give you a functionally-random chance to buff any given play. Successful luck builds need real luck to really shine and it’s an interesting aspect I didn’t have time to cover. This video shows how not getting lucky with burst damage really weakens your ability to finish a fight even if you’re massively outplaying someone:
This video demonstrates the advantage of Embered Health really well. It shows how even an exceptionally prepared and precise player can struggle to overcome the damage gating the game is balanced around and how Burst Damage options are balanced to be less effective, topping out around 1400 damage while Host health can go up to 1900:
And this video is just a better example of building a play style and build around Estus Punishing. Our Darkmoon invader Duncan the Blue was massively inspired by this build and the video shows how a lethal estus punish can elevate even a sub-standard weapon:
DS3 PvP | Ideal Use: Burst Damage (Invader Mathematics Decathlon 1/3)A Book of Matches2020-07-19 | Austro-Bohemian composer Gustav Mahler one said ‘If you think you’re boring your audience go slower, not faster.’
Then again Austro-Bohemian composer Gustav Mahler’s YouTube vids were widely condemned as super long and boring youch.
If you just want tips on Invading and using Burst Damage without any of the Storytelling aspects maybe try this abridged, TL,CBA version:

I know it's been a long time between drinks, this video was kind of a pain to make, I can only apologise. I hope you enjoy it anyway.
Please let me know if any of the video is muted in your area, I think it’s all fine but copyrighted content is kinda complex.
Some of this video contains footage organised with friends, as shown by the * in the top left. They're my best boys so please go check out their stellar content if you don't know them already:
And thank you to iamamish, Mr Sillydog and dangitjm for sharing my ramblings through their significantly better channels. If you don't know any of them then please go check them out.

Spread the Splintering love.
As a little addendum; This video claims the Crossbow can’t be dodged with Latency or Lagg which, in retrospect, isn’t true. While the Swap does beat Latency, an Unstable Connection (Lagg) can cause all the Bolts to Register in Bursts and if your Opponent is Roll Spamming they might take all the Damage from the whole WA at once and might take it during I-Frames and therefore Dodge all the Damage. Something extra to be aware of which I didn’t think of or have footage of until the video was already out.DS3 PvP | Ideal Use: The Basic Backstabs Everyone NeedsA Book of Matches2020-02-09 | Basic backstabs for basic boys. The link below showcases Fishing at a high level and is, as far as I'm concerned, the best Fishing video on Youtube. Also it's Project Goof so it's a no-brainer, go watch it. Seen it before? Watch it again. Appreciate it more. Play it on half speed or something, I don't know.
and the link below this is a very good video by Mr. Sillydog which discusses basic conditioning on basic players which is a lot of what you'll come up against. It's grand stuff, so go. Go.
Thanks y'all.DS3 PvP | Ideal Use: Ledos Swap as Poise CounterA Book of Matches2020-01-26 | Poise-build cooked two ways on a bed of Ledo's. All the boring stuff you need to know to make your montage pop.
The initial inspiration for this swap and a lot of the technical information in this video comes originally from JeeNine. So if you somehow don't know him already definitely check him out.
It's the quintessential aggressive swapping video. He uses Ledo's in a different way than I suggest in this video but the idea behind this series is swaps anyone could do and he plays at a different level. Definitely watch it though. Seriously.
