All rights reserved.Notes about the music:Episode 1 begins, naturally, with the show’s theme song, presented here in its extended form. “Suitable for Walking” is the music that accompanies Crave-Me Bar as he travels through a series of improbable scenarios. “It’s Good For Everyone” is featured as the Host introduces himself. The song “XD” has less to do with the character it's named after, and more to do with the contestants looking for coffee in the middle of the night. The complete version of “Wait (Wait)” features a section in the beginning that was edited out of Episode 1, but the segment where the Host sings that part of the song was left in (oops). “Potato Yogurt” was used in both the commercial for the titular product and the end credits of Episode 1. It includes a memorable ending that you either love or hate.That brings us to Episode 2, which begins with a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it clip of “Don’t Be Nervous”. The only non-original song included in this collection is “Valse Gracieuse” by Antonín Dvořák, better known on The Infamous Object Show as the theme from The 3 Ways You Feel After Eating Something. “Corn Flakes” and “Science” are brief songs that are used even more briefly in the episode itself. The Host finally references a challenge to the tune of “Maybe This is Just the Way It’s Done.” A serious tone to a silly sequence is the concept behind “Drop the Subject.” Perhaps the most famous song in Episode 2 is “You Don’t Have to Sing”, a duet between Imagination Meme and Pixel. “Electrosphere” is used in two different segments: during the weird decapitated man commercial and as the music for the Absolute Magnitude movie. And what better way to end the ep than with an ode to the Host’s culinary prowess, “Savory Pine Cones.”Episode 3 kicks off with an acoustic version of the theme song featuring two tubas and percussion. “Big John” is named for the late great jazz organist Big John Patton. When the show needs to cut away from violence, they ask you to “Please Stand By.” “On the Spot” is a bright jazz waltz that plays as the teams decide on a challenge. “1985” plays in the background as Team Bleeding Octopus realizes they are bored. Who knew Pixel was so rich? “Pixel Got Bank” announces the news via a microtonal trumpet fanfare. The Yellow Team are declared the winners of the first challenge, as Smerph ponders “What Kind of Life is This?” “Bossevenova” is a bossa nova in 7/4, and serves as the elimination theme. And we slow it down — literally — with “Vapor Relish”, concluding the show’s last episode (for the moment).
