This mater is even more pronounced when we know that japan is the home to one of most renowned tuna fisheries in the world. The high value of tuna in the international markets brings the export of tuna second to tourism which is the primary source of income.
Tuna fishery in the japan: In terms of fish exports, the most important tuna species is the skipjack tuna while the yellowfin tuna comes next. The catch of tuna in the japan is done in a special way which is namely “Pole and line” which is usually described as catching tuna one by one. This traditional contributes with about 90% of total tuna catch in The japan.
Description and operation: As its name indicates, the gear is composed of a 3-4 m rigid pole made of bamboo or fiberglass capable of handling a fish weighing of about 20-25 kg. At the extremity of the pole, a strong short hooked line is attached. Thus the “Pole and line” requires just one pole, one line and one barbless hook used by one fisherman to catch one tuna at a time. In exceptional cases, a special line can be attached to 2 poles held by 2 fishermen allowing the catch of much larger fish. Bait fish is an integral part of the pole and line tuna fishery where anchovies, small scads, silver side and sardine are the most common bait fish that are kept alive using sea water circulation; 1 kg of baitfish can deliver 10kg of tuna.
The fishing operation takes place on a medium size fishing vessels of about 40-meters. About 10-20 fishermen position themselves almost all around the boat.
Different methods are followed to locate the schools of tuna which could range from the visual spotting, watching sea birds till the use of fish aggregating devices and/or acoustic instruments.
Once the school of tuna is located, small amounts of live bait are regularly scooped up and tossed overboard to mix with water sprays agitating the water, giving the illusion that the water surface is alive with small fish and hence attracting and concentrate the tuna school in the trail of the fishing vessel. At this point, skillful fishermen will use their fishing gears to catch a tuna after another and place the catch on the deck to be chilled as soon as possible whereas ice slurry is the most efficient cooling medium which is in use. Often, the fishing crew work six days per week.
Advantages: The pole and line tuna fishing has several advantages whether economically, socially as well as the sustainability of tuna as well as other fish species stocks. The “Pole and Line” eliminates indiscriminate harvesting fish species other than tuna and hence brings the bycatch to almost zero.
This method also safeguards some endangered species which could be caught in purse (e.g. sharks, rays, pilot whales, whale sharks, turtles, dolphins, and seabirds).
In regard to the employment, the “Pole and line” fishing requires more fishermen per ton of catch compared to other fishing methods. This leads to more jobs, higher standard of living across coastal communities especially tuna fishermen are well paid. Finally, enhancing the nutrition status of households should not be overlooked. tag's fishing boat accidents caught on tape, a fishing boat leaves a marina with a constant, a fishing boat with a maximum speed of 3m/s, a fishing boat using sonar detects, a fishing boat is called, fishing boat big, fishing boat big waves, fishing boat buying guide, fishing boat big catch, fishing boat battery setup, fishing boat bdo, fishing boat business, jon b fishing boat, fishing boat catching fish, fishing boat conversion, fishing boat capsizes, fishing boat commercial, fishing boat cabin, fishing boat caught in storm, fishing boat converted to yacht, rc fishing boat, fishing boat diaper cake, fishing boat diaper cake tutorial, fishing boat documentary, fishing boat docks, fishing boat design, fishing boat diy, fishing boat docking competition

What is Glass? Glass is known for its fragility as well as firmness that makes it typical of a solid. At the same time, it can be qualified as a liquid, owing to its somewhat fluid nature. But, scientifically, glass is what is called an amorphous solid – a state between two states of matter. In terms of conductivity, glass has neither thermal nor electrical, since it has no reaction with the commonly known chemical compounds.
What is Glass Made of? The primary raw materials in glass are sand, soda, limestone, clarifying agents, coloring and glistening glass. Glass sand is about ¾th of the entire glass composition.
How is Glass Produced? A float line is almost like a river of glass that exits the furnace before its cooling process. It makes its way to nearly 300 meters, after which it is cut into large sheets; these sheets typically measure 3.21x2.25 meters. Hence a float line is capable of continuously producing glass round-the-clock.
Float Glass
Float glass, commonly known as flat glass, is made by floating molten glass on a bed of molten tin. The molten glass spreads onto the surface of the metal and produces a high quality, consistently level sheet of glass that is later cut into required sizes. This method gives the glass uniform thickness and a very flat surface. The glass manufactured thus is devoid of waves or distortion. This technique can continuously produce glass 24/7. It is therefore a river of glass that exits the furnace before being cooled as it progresses along its path of around 300 meters and is then cut into very large sheets, which most frequently measure 3.21x2.25 meters. The float glass production process can be divided into five universal steps:
1.Batching of raw materials:
The main components, comprising silica sand, calcium oxide, soda & magnesium are weighed and mixed into batches to which recycled glass (cullet) is added. The use of ‘cullet’ reduces the consumption of energy. The materials are tested and stored for mixing later under computerized control. The superior clarity offered by Saint-Gobain Clear Glass, is a result of purity in raw materials, precision in composition and strict adherence to high quality standards in the manufacturing process. The company has a dedicated sand beneficiation plant in Tada where silica sand (to be used in manufacturing) is purified, and excess iron content is removed from the material.
2.Melting of raw materials in the furnace:
The batched raw materials pass from a mixing silo to a five-chambered furnace where they become molten. Temperatures in the furnace reach upto 1600°C.
3.Drawing the molten glass onto the tin bath:
The molten glass is then "floated" onto a bath of molten tin at a temperature of about 1000°C. It forms a “ribbon” which is normally between 5 and 6 mm. By suitably drawing the glass through a complex process involving top roll machines, ribbon thickness in the range of 1.9mm to 19mm can be achieved. The glass, which is highly viscous, and the tin, which is very fluid, do not mix and the contact surface between these two materials is perfectly flat, giving the term “flat” glass to the final product.
4.Cooling of the molten glass in the annealing lehr:
On leaving the bath of molten tin, the glass - now at a temperature of 600°C - has cooled down sufficiently to pass to an annealing chamber called a lehr. The glass is now hard enough to pass over rollers and is annealed, which modifies the internal stresses, enabling it to be cut and worked in a predictable way and ensuring flatness of the glass. As both surfaces are fire finished, they need no grinding or polishing
5.Quality checks, automatic cutting, and storage:
After cooling, the glass undergoes rigorous quality checks. It is then cut into sheets of sizes varying upto a maximum of 6000mm x 3660 mm which are, in turn, automatically stacked, stored and ready for transport.tennis ball processing production 24 different processes to make the final ballDiscover with us2022-03-13 | I was commissioned to make a film and shoot a set of images by ESPN for Wilson, to show the manufacturing process of their tennis balls for the US Open. Im ashamed 😞Discover with us2021-12-17 | How many whales are killed each year? Commercial whaling was banned in 1986. However, Japan, Norway, and Iceland have killed nearly 40,000 large whales since then. Over 100,000 dolphins, small whales, and porpoises are also killed in various countries each year.
Why do people hunt whales? Over a thousand whales are killed every year because some people want to make money from selling their meat and body parts. Their oil, blubber and cartilage are used in pharmaceuticals and health supplements. Whale meat is even used in pet food, or served to tourists as a ‘traditional dish’. Exploiting the bodies of whales for money is illegal in most countries, so how can it be allowed to continue?
Why can some countries continue whaling? Whaling for profit was banned in 1986. But, reluctant to give up the market for whale meat and products, Japan, Iceland and Norway continue to hunt and kill fin, minke and sei whales every year. Norway objects to the ban, Iceland hunts under a dubious ‘reservation’ while Japan has gone it alone and restarted commercial whaling.
Why are dolphins hunted too? Despite it being illegal in most countries, dolphins and small whales are hunted in many parts of the world. This is mostly for their meat and use of their body parts, although in Taiji in Japan young animals are captured and sold into a life in captivity.
Deliberate hunting of small whales and dolphins is a growing conservation concern for many species and populations, with thousands of individuals killed in countries around the world for food, bait, currency or supposed traditional medicines and charms.
Arguably the most notorious and bloody hunts take place in Taiji, Japan and the Faroe islands where dolphins and small whales are driven onto beaches or into coves, before being slaughtered. So controversial is the Taiji hunt that the hunters erect a curtain across the shoreline to hide the slaughter from the public gaze. #huntingwhales #whale #fishingSole Fishing Trawling method that involves pulling a net through the water behind one or more boatsDiscover with us2021-12-09 | Sole is a fish belonging to several families. Generally speaking, they are members of the family Soleidae, but, outside Europe, the name sole is also applied to various other similar flatfish, especially other members of the sole suborder Soleoidei as well as members of the flounder family. In European cookery, there are several species which may be considered true soles, but the common or Dover sole Solea solea, often simply called the sole, is the most esteemed and most widely available. The word sole in English, French, and Italian comes from its resemblance to a sandal, Latin solea. In other languages, it is named for the tongue, e.g. Greek: γλώσσα, German: Seezunge, Dutch: zeetong or tong, Hungarian: nyelvhal, Spanish: lenguado, Arabic: لسان الثور lisan Ath-thawr (for the common sole) meaning 'the tongue of ox' in Qosbawi accent.
A partial list of common names for species referred to as sole include:
In the sole suborder Soleoidei: The true soles, Soleidae, including the common or Dover sole, Solea solea. These are the only fishes called soles in Europe. The American soles, Achiridae, sometimes classified among the Soleidae. The tonguefishes or tongue soles, Cynoglossidae, whose common names usually include the word 'tongue'. Several species of righteye flounder in the family Pleuronectidae, including the lemon sole, the Pacific Dover sole, and the petrale sole. The true sole, Solea solea, is sufficiently distributed that it is not considered a threatened species; however, overfishing in Europe has produced severely diminished populations, with declining catches in many regions. For example, the western English Channel and Irish Sea sole fisheries face potential collapse according to data in the UK Biodiversity Action Plan.
Sole, along with the other major bottom-feeding fish in the North Sea such as cod, monkfish, and plaice, is listed by the ICES as "outside safe biological limits." Moreover, they are growing less quickly now and are rarely older than six years, although they can reach forty. World stocks of large predatory fish and large ground fish such as sole and flounder were estimated in 2003 to be only about 10% of pre-industrial levels. According to the World Wildlife Fund in 2006, "of the nine sole stocks, seven are overfished with the status of the remaining two unknown."
In 2010, Greenpeace International has added the common sole to its seafood red list. "The Greenpeace International seafood red list is a list of fish that are commonly sold in supermarkets around the world, and which have a very high risk of being sourced from unsustainable fisheries." Conservation Des DatesHow Christmas trees are made and Get Their Shape ,Christmas tree production and Harvesting ProcessDiscover with us2021-11-16 | During the final month of the year — and often, much sooner — vast numbers of harvested trees begin their migration indoors, where they are festooned with ribbon, garland, ornaments and lights.
Although these trees are grown in the spirit of Christmas, they don't magically, or genetically, aspire to a perfectly peaked shape. "Once the trees reach about 3 to 4 feet (1 to 1.2 meters) in height, we begin a process called 'shearing,'" said Ben Butler, farm and finance manager of Butler's Orchard in Germantown, Maryland, in an interview with the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture. "After the trees grow in the spring and their new growth begins to harden off, our crews go through the trees one at a time and help guide the shape of the tree using a very long and sharp knife." he most common types of Christmas trees are Douglas fir, Canaan fir, Fraser fir and several species of spruce or pine. However, out of the 630 species of conifers in the world, the majority don't actually grow in a strictly triangular shape, so trimming is a crucial task when growing those specimens meant to become Christmas trees. This pruning process must continue every summer until the trees reach a marketable age, which usually takes six to eight years. tag's christmas trees 2021, christmas trees decorated, christmas trees lil duval, christmas trees arguing, christmas trees 2021 trends, christmas trees talking to each other, christmas trees display at walmart, christmas trees diy, christmas trees at walmart, christmas trees and cats, christmas trees at home depot, christmas trees around the world, christmas trees at target, christmas trees are small, christmas trees around hk, christmas trees bee gees Have a look at the tree shearing process in this video from Glove Hollow Christmas Tree Farm in Plymouth, New Hampshire: #christmastreeshopsHow Giant freezer Fishing process in the Worlds largest floating fish factoryDiscover with us2021-11-09 | The world's largest fishing vessel, the factory freezer ship Lafayette, has turned up in Pacific waters east of Australia.
The controversial 49,000-tonne Lafayette, and six attendant trawlers, registered on satellite-tracking systems north-east of Norfolk Island on Friday, Greenpeace said. The Russian-flagged and Chinese-owned vessel is five times the size of the Dutch factory trawler Margiris, which was banned from Australian waters in 2012.
''It should be very worrying to the region that a vessel of the size of Lafayette would target fish in the South Pacific,'' Greenpeace campaigner Nathaniel Pelle said.
''The waters where it is now face a crisis of overcapacity. A vast number of vessels are making their way into the Pacific chasing reduced fish numbers.''
Lafayette's appearance left regional fisheries organisations scrambling to find out what would likely disappear into its blast freezers. Pacific Andes said it was headed for the jack mackerel fishery.
''It is not taking on board fish in Australian waters,'' a Pacific Andes spokesman in Hong Kong said. Rates of bycatch are unusually high for shrimp fishing, with the capture of sea turtles being especially contentious.
A shrimper is a fishing vessel rigged for shrimp fishing. Small-scale local fishery for shrimp and prawns has existed for centuries and continues to form a large proportion of the world's shrimp fisheries.[3] Trawling increased in scale with the introduction of otter boards, which use the flow of water to hold the trawling net open, and the introduction of steam-powered vessels, replacing the earlier sail-powered boats.[3] Both of these developments took off in the 1880s, and were soon applied to shrimp fisheries, especially following the research effort of the Norwegian marine biologist Johan Hjort.[3] Over time, the original open skiffs, 5–8 metres (16–26 ft) long, were replaced by decked boats, to which diesel engines were added, allowing the boats to reach an average of 18 m (59 ft).[4] full articl here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shrimp_fishery

This is reflected in gradual developments of undesirable flavours, softening of the flesh and eventually substantial losses of fluid containing protein and fat. By lowering the temperature of the dead fish, spoilage can be retarded and, if the temperature is kept low enough, spoilage can be almost stopped. Rigor mortis, over a period of hours or days soon after death, can have a bearing on handling and processing. In some species the reaction can be strong, especially if the fish has not been chilled. The muscles under strain tend to contract, therefore, some of the tissue may break, especially if the fish is roughly handled, leaving the flesh broken and falling apart. If the muscles are cut before or during rigor, they will contract and in this way fillets from fish can shrink and acquire a somewhat rubbery texture. In many species, however, rigor mortis is not strong enough to be of much significance. The freezing process alone is not a method of preservation. It is merely the means of preparing the fish for storage at a suitably low temperature. In order to produce a good product, freezing must be accomplished quickly. A freezer requires to be specially designed for this purpose and thus freezing is a separate process from low temperature storage. 2.1 What happens during freezing Fish is largely water, normally 60-80 percent depending on the species, and the freezing process converts most of this water into ice. Freezing requires the removal of heat, and fish from which heat is removed falls in temperature in the manner shown in Figure 1. During the first stage of cooling, the temperature falls fairly rapidly to just below 0°C, the freezing point of water. As more heat requires to be extracted during the second stage, in order to turn the bulk of the water to ice, the temperature changes by a few degrees and this stage is known as the period of "thermal arrest". When about 55% of the water is turned to ice, the temperature again begins to fall rapidly and during this third stage most of the remaining water freezes. A comparatively small amount of heat has to be removed during this third stage. Figure 1 Temperature-time graph for fish during freezing As the water in fish freezes out as pure crystals of ice, the remaining unfrozen water contains an ever increasing concentration of salts and other compounds which are naturally present in fish flesh. The effect of this ever increasing concentration is to depress the freezing point of the unfrozen water. The result is that, unlike pure water, the complete change to ice is not accomplished at a fixed temperature of 0°C, but proceeds over a range of temperature. The variation of the proportion of water (which is converted to ice) in the muscle tissue of fish against temperature is shown in Figure 2. The figure shows that by the time the fish temperature is reduced to -5°C about 70% of the water is frozen. It also shows that even at temperatures as low at -30°C, a proportion of the water in the fish muscle still remains in the unfrozen state. Figure 2. Freezing of fish muscle. The percentage of water frozen at different temperatures Literature on the freezing of fish is confusing and often contradictory about what happens to fish as it freezes. This is particularly the case when reference is made to the difference between slow and quick freezing. One of the main reasons for this apparent confusion is that only in recent years has knowledge of the freezing process advanced sufficiently to explain these differences in freezing rates. The result is that much of the literature still in circulation is now outdated. At first it was thought that rapid freezing was unsatisfactory since sudden cooling could disrupt and tear the muscle tissue. It was also thought that, since water expands on freezing, it might be reasonable to expect the cell walls to burst under the induced pressure. There is some justification for both of these theories but they do not fully explain the differences between slow and quick freezing. For some time a widely held view was that slow freezing resulted in the formation of large ice crystals which damaged the walls of the cells. This would then result in a considerable loss of fluid when the fish was thawed. The smaller ice crystals formed, when fish is frozen quickly, were thought to do little damage to the cell walls and, as a result, little fluid was lost on thawing. Difference in size of ice crystal probably accounts for some of the differences between slow and quick freezing, but is has been shown that this still does not provide a full explanation. The walls of fish muscle cells are sufficiently elastic to accommodate the larger ice crystals without excessive damage. Also, most of the water in fish muscle is bound to the protein in the form of a gel, and little fluid would be lost even if damage of the above nature did occur original video youtu.be/e7u-X8XR1hsStep by step understanding canning tuna manufacturing processes, tuna can manufacturingDiscover with us2021-10-20 | Canning tuna manufacturing is a process to make high quality canned fish product from raw material. When you think about tuna then one of the first foods that come out must be tuna in cans where the fish meat is preserved then stored inside a can. The shelf life of canned tuna product is 3 to 5 years when still unopened and it also one of the most popular tuna product because it offers simplest way to consume tuna meat. The production stages of manufacturing tuna fish into canned tuna is used to make sure that the tuna meat is safe and be able to be consumed properly. To put it simply, there are about ten steps to make tuna in can from the tuna fish being caught to the packaging and delivery of the finished product. The factory also need to ensure that their methods to produce tuna meat are meet the condition and terms of International canned tuna process especially if the product is going to be delivered worldwide. Top importer countries such as Europe and America apply really strict conditions when it comes to imported canned tuna. They need to inspect, check, and ensure the safety of the canned tuna product. SACRAMENTO (AP) – After a long, contentious dispute, a gigantic mechanical digger that stopped working will be moved from one side of San Francisco Bay to the other this weekend to create a new crossing bridge between Oakland and Fremont.
Crews from the California Department of Transportation will use the so-called giant backhoe to slice into the side of a narrow canyon near San Francisco’s Alameda County border this weekend and pull out the 800,000-pound machine, which has been parked on the opposite side of the bay for months.
The machine, called the Tunnel Boring Machine, or TBM, was originally ordered to dig the huge, $1.4 billion Highway 99 tunnel beneath downtown Oakland to ease traffic congestion and support BART commuter trains. But two years into the $2.3 billion project, the borer broke down and crews pulled it out of service.
The TBM was rebuilt at a cost of $250 million and went back to work in February. tag's giant machines, giant machines 2017, giant machine wwf, giant machinery, giant machinery fails, giant machine mask, giant machine gun, giant machine fails, giant machine andre, giant machine theme, giant machine vs, giant machine sound effect, giant machine action figure, giant machine and super machine, giant claw machine dave and busters, giant bubble machine, giant tunnel boring machine, giant boring machine, giant bubble gum machine, giant ball claw machine, giants machines crushes car, giant claw machine, giant crusher machine, giant claw machine win, giant squishmallow claw machine, giant coal mining machine, giant cloud machine, giant claw machine hack, giant purple disco machine, giant digging machine, giant death machine glitch, purple disco machine giant extended, giant heavy duty machine, giant machine elite, giant purple disco machine extended remix, giant electronic gumball machine, giant excavator machine, giant fogger machine, giant flying machine minecraft, giant fog machine, fly giant machine, giant foam machine, giant gumball machine fortnite ssundee, giant fishing machine, giant machine game, giant gumball machine, giant grinder machine, ghost rider giant machine, andre the giant giant machine, giant gashapon machine, giant hammer machine, giant human claw machine, giant human pinball machine, giant machine in the world, giant jcb machine, giant temporary lifting machine, giant logging machine, giant lego machine, giant lego candy machine, giant machine movie, mann vs machine giant robot, giant claw machine music, giant mario claw machine, minecraft giant machine, giant pinball machine, giant press machine, giant claw machine ps5, giant purple disco machine remix, giant redstone machine, giant machine simulator, giant machine star wars, giant machine super machine, giant shredding machine, giant slot machine, giant slot machine win, giant machine tag team, the giant machine, andre the giant machine, giant ticket claw machine, giant vending machine, giant machine wrestler, giant wave machine, giant washing machine, wwe giant machine, giant welding machine, giant machine 2017, ghost rider 2 giant machine #Discoverwithus #machinery #machine #construction #heavyequipment #equipment #heavymachinery #engineering #manufacturing #agriculture #excavator #tools #industry #industrial #farming #machines #fendt #technology #cnc #tractor #constructionequipment #earthmoving #caterpillar #mining #johndeere #constructionmachinery #machining #cncmachining #machineshop #farm #bhfypFarmer Born and Raised Farmer SVG Future Farmer FarmingDiscover with us2021-10-14 | One of 8 short films about Maine farmers, created by Maine Farmland Trust and Pull-Start Pictures.

Cultivars of the plant produce fruits in different colors, including red, yellow, orange, green, white, and purple. Bell peppers are sometimes grouped with less pungent chili varieties as "sweet peppers". While they are fruits—botanically classified as berries—they are commonly used as a vegetable ingredient or side dish. The fruits of the Capsicum genus are categorized as chili peppers.
Peppers are native to Mexico, Central America, and northern South America. Pepper seeds were imported to Spain in 1493 and then spread through Europe and Asia. The mild bell pepper cultivar was developed in the 1920s, in Szeged, Hungary. Preferred growing conditions for bell peppers include warm, moist soil in a temperature range of 21 to 29 °C (70 to 84 °F)

Nomenclature The name pepper was given by Europeans when Christopher Columbus brought the plant back to Europe. At that time, black pepper (peppercorns), from the unrelated plant Piper nigrum originating from India, was a highly prized condiment. The name pepper was applied in Europe to all known spices with a hot and pungent taste and was therefore extended to genus Capsicum when it was introduced from the Americas. The most commonly used name of the plant family, chile, is of Mexican origin, from the Nahuatl word chilli.
The terms bell pepper (US, Canada, Philippines), pepper or sweet pepper (UK, Ireland), and capsicum (Australia, Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka) are often used for any of the large bell-shaped peppers, regardless of their color. The fruit is simply referred to as a "pepper", or additionally by color ("green pepper" or red, yellow, orange, purple, brown, black). In the Midland region of the U.S., bell peppers when stuffed and pickled are sometimes called mangoes.
In some languages, the term paprika, which has its roots in the word for pepper, is used for both the spice and the fruit – sometimes referred to by their color (for example groene paprika, gele paprika, in Dutch, which are green and yellow, respectively). The bell pepper is called "パプリカ" (paprika) or "ピーマン" (pîman, from French piment pronounced with a silent 't') in Japan.[8] In Switzerland, the fruit is mostly called peperone, which is the Italian name of the fruit. In France, it is called poivron, with the same root as poivre (meaning "pepper") or piment. In Spain it is called pimiento morrón, the masculine form of the traditional spice, pimienta and "morrón" (snouted) referring to its general shape. In South Korea, the word "피망" (pimang from the French piment) refers to green bell peppers, whereas "파프리카" (papeurika, from paprika) refers to bell peppers of other colors. In Sri Lanka, both the bell pepper and the banana pepper are referred to as a "capsicum" since the bell pepper has no Sinhalese translation. In Argentina it is called "morrón". Colors A variety of colored bell peppers The most common colors of bell peppers are green, yellow, orange and red. Other colors include brown, white, lavender, and dark purple, depending on the variety. Most typically, unripe fruits are green or, less commonly, pale yellow or purple. Red bell peppers are simply ripened green peppers,[9] although the Permagreen variety maintains its green color even when fully ripe. As such, mixed colored peppers also exist during parts of the ripening process. tag's bell pepper recipe, bell peppers and beef, bell pepper plant, bell pepper time lapse, bell pepper pasta, bell pepper cream cheese, bell pepper sauce, bell pepper salad, bell pepper recipe indian, bell pepper asmr, bell pepper and cream cheese, bell pepper and egg, bell pepper and chicken recipe, bell pepper and beef, bell pepper and onion recipe, bell pepper and egg recipe #bellpeppersfarme #bellpeppers #bellpepperrecipe #bellpeppergrowing #bellpepperricehow caviar is made From Sturgeon! and where imported this most profitable And high demand delicacyDiscover with us2021-10-14 | Music by Lesfm from Pixabay Caviar lit. Trout roe with bread According to the United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization, roe from any fish not belonging to the Acipenseriformes order (including Acipenseridae, or sturgeon sensu stricto, and Polyodontidae or paddlefish) are not caviar, but "substitutes of caviar."[8] This position is also adopted by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora,[9] the World Wide Fund for Nature,[10] the United States Customs Service,[11] and France.[12]
The term caviar is sometimes used to describe dishes that are perceived to resemble caviar, such as "eggplant caviar" (made from eggplant) and "Texas caviar" (made from black-eyed peas).
History Caviar and sturgeon from the Sea of Azov began reaching the tables of aristocratic and noble Greeks in the 10th century, after the commencement of large-scale trading between the Byzantine Empire and Kievan Rus'.[13]
Varieties The main types of caviar are Beluga, Sterlet, Kaluga hybrid, American osetra, Ossetra, Siberian sturgeon and Sevruga. The rarest and costliest is from beluga sturgeon that swim in the Caspian Sea, which is bordered by Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan. Wild caviar production was suspended in Russia between 2008 and 2011 to allow wild stocks to replenish. Azerbaijan and Iran also allow the fishing of sturgeon off their coasts. Beluga caviar is prized for its soft, extremely large (pea-size) eggs. It can range in color from pale silver-gray to black. It is followed by the small golden sterlet caviar which is rare and was once reserved for Russian, Iranian and Austrian royalty. Next in quality is the medium-sized, light brown to rich brown Ossetra, also known as Russian caviar. Others in the quality ranking are the gray sevruga caviar, the Chinese Kaluga caviar, and the American osetra. The Siberian variety with black beads is similar to sevruga and is popular because of its reduced (5 years) harvest period, but it has a higher brine content than other kinds. The Chinese Kaluga hybrid varies in color from dark gray to light golden green and is a close cousin of beluga caviar.[citation needed]
Quality factors and cost An expensive caviar example at 1 kilogram (2.2 lb) sold for £20,000 (then US$34,500) is the Iranian 'Almas' product (from Persian: الماس, "diamond") produced from the eggs of a rare albino sturgeon between 60 and 100 years old from the southern Caspian Sea.[14] Wild beluga sturgeon caviar from the Caspian Sea was priced in 2012 at $16,000 per 1 kilogram (35 oz).[15] Cheaper alternatives have been developed from the roe of whitefish and the North Atlantic salmon.[citation needed]
Conventional sturgeon caviar was priced in 2014 at about $105 per 1 ounce (28 g) and from albino sturgeon up to $800 per ounce.[16] Other quality factors are texture – with firmness having higher quality value – flavor qualities, such as creaminess, butter taste, and brine or mild fish finish, and whether the caviar was taken from the fish by massage (higher value) rather than by killing it.[16]
Industry China China has emerged as the leading producer, accounting for 60% of the world production in caviar.[17] The largest caviar company in the world is the Chinese brand Kaluga Queen, which cultivates sturgeon at Qiandao Lake in Zhejiang.[18]
Caviar, or gently salted sturgeon roe, has been regarded as a costly gourmet treat for generations.
