About 7 months or so since the first preview, I present to you my latest project: H B F S. I recently fell in love with @daftpunk and their music, and so I felt inspired to make a level based on them using one of their most iconic songs. If you can't tell, the decoration of this level draws from various Daft Punk media, including the duo’s album covers, music videos, concerts, etc. That's one thing I really admire about Daft Punk; they branded themselves very well with that distinctly retro-yet-futuristic aesthetic that never seems to age.
For this project, I wanted to create something that was simple, fun, and a little nostalgic--three qualities that could also be used to describe Daft Punk's music. With that in mind, I tried to make H B F S feel reminiscent of older GD levels, both in composition and gameplay; not too complex or detailed, but still interesting. The repetitive nature of the level might be a turn-off for some people, which is fair enough, but I just wanted to represent the song the way I saw it to pay homage to Daft Punk, whose music is admittedly pretty repetitive anyway.
I could say a lot more about this project and Daft Punk in general, but I'll just leave it at that. I'd like to end this description by giving a MASSIVE thank you to @prcld (AKA peri) for remixing the original song and uploading it to Newgrounds to make this level more accessible. You rock.
Hope you enjoy the level!!

This is my part in PLANET X, one of America's entries to the World Gauntlet Contest hosted by @Arb71703. This was really fun to build, and everyone else in the level definitely put in the work to make it something that has a real fighting chance for a place in the gauntlet (even if the last few days/hours/minutes before release were a scramble lmao). I'm excited to see how this level performs in the contest, and I wish everyone else participating good luck!

The first part is my part in Lotus (gameplay by @rerebix), a megacollab hosted by @ZeroSR. You may have seen the video of the layout for this some time ago, and it's exciting to see that it's actually getting decorated! The first deco preview was uploaded recently, so make sure to go check that out on Zero's channel; the level's shaping up to be pretty top-tier design.
The second part is my part in PROTOFLICKER (gameplay by @VarseGD), a megacollab hosted by @ewop0. Very cool effect-based level with a pretty color scheme and song. I'm particularly proud of how this turned out, and the other parts I've seen are very nice as well. Be on the lookout for this!

It's been a pretty long time since I've uploaded a level completion on this channel. Over these past few years I've found beating hard levels to just be a very boring, long, and excruciating process, which is why pretty much all of the videos I've uploaded recently are either previews or collabs--creating is a LOT more fun and satisfying than playing. There are very rare moments, however, where I come across a level that I find fun enough to play without getting bored halfway through and dropping it. This is one of those moments.
@radiationv2 is a creator that I've admired for a very long time. His creating style is pretty much the definition of "less is more"; despite his creations leaning on the more simplistic side, he always seems to use just the right amount of detail to convey the theme he's going for, without it becoming messy or cluttered. If you go to his YouTube channel and check out his most recent videos, you can see what I mean with projects like Data or Rad Radio; the detail in those previews is almost perfectly balanced. Frightful Melody, while being a pretty old level at this point, is no different.
Many levels that were created in the early days of 2.1 show their age quite a bit, but this level holds up extremely well. The visuals far surpass plenty of extreme demons nowadays in my opinion, and the small little details like the skulls, ghosts, and tombstones help to convey the undead theme, almost as if you're traveling through the underworld or a cemetery--and this is especially impressive considering that this is mainly a design level, where theming isn't really common. The decoration pairs extremely well with the song, matching its intensity almost perfectly without going overboard. The level isn't repetitive either; every part is different in its own way, yet they all fit together into one cohesive whole.
Perhaps even better than the decoration is the gameplay. This level is REALLY fun. Not once was I ever bored or even frustrated, because the level was just such a blast to play. Now, gameplay like this isn't for everyone; most of it is either 3x or 4x speed, and there are times where it can get a little spammy. I personally didn't find these things to be that big of an issue, but it might cause problems for some people. Also, for an extreme demon, this level is actually pretty easy; it's not too reliant on timings or ship and is pretty forgiving most of the time. In fact, this is the first extreme I've beaten that isn't any of my levels (yay!!!).
Overall, this level is CRIMINALLY underrated both decoration- and gameplay-wise, and I'm surprised that not that many people have played it or even really know about it--I beat this yesterday and I'm only 18th on the leaderboard!! A definite recommend from me if you're comfortable with fast, relatively high-click-rate gameplay (and also have good taste in decoration).

NOTE: This is a showcase, not the actual verification. I haven't grinded out a hard level in quite some time, so I figured I might just show this to you guys now instead of Who Knows How Long from now. Just give me some time lol
It's been a pretty long time since Incipient was released, and I feel like the deco shows its age quite a bit nowadays. So, I decided to give the level a bit of a visual upgrade. What do you think?

Another silly year, another silly level. After about 8 months of on-and-off work, I present to you my latest project: NEUTRA.
@marwec approached me with the prospect of decorating the layout for this level in April of last year after EnZore dropped it (this took a very long time to make), and ever since then NEUTRA has been the main focus of my GD creating. I’d like to personally thank him and @ilrell for giving me the opportunity, as it’s been a blast to work on this.
I think I can confidently say that this level is, without a doubt, my best work yet. I’ve always considered design to be my strong suit, so being able to explore that to its fullest in this level was extremely fun, along with some additional effects and whatnot. I’m very satisfied with how the level ended up looking in the end, and I hope you like how it looks too!
There are many other things I want to say about this project, so I’ll break it down:
About the level itself: This level is meant to be based off of @siximpalasix's member Neutra and their album WFLYTD (which explains the teeth lol). I would say this is mostly reflected in the colors, as fellow six impala member KaTT provided the color palette and helped a lot with this project in general, but there are some direct references to Neutra and WFLYTD that I included as well. I have to thank KaTT for providing some direction on the colors; I've never been the best at colors, with most of my previous works being monochrome, so breaking out of that and experimenting with various color combos helped to make this level look much better than what it might have looked like otherwise. I’d also like to thank ILRELL and Marwec for the feedback they gave as I was decorating; the level would’ve looked worse if it weren’t for them either.
About the gameplay: ILRELL and Marwec made the gameplay for this level, which you may have seen a video of before. All I have to say is that the two of them did an absolutely PHENOMENAL job. I can’t really speak on how fun the gameplay is to play since this is LIGHT YEARS beyond my skill level, but after decorating the layout for so long, it’s clear just how clever and well-structured it is. ILRELL and Marwec contributed to this level just as much as I did; I could NEVER build gameplay like this, not in a million years.
About the difficulty: This level is hard. Like, really hard. I won’t pretend like I know anything about the difficulties of levels on the Demon List, but apparently it's around top 20 or something. All I can really say is good luck to anyone who attempts to beat this (and I hope you have fun!)
(Update 02/14/2023): MASSIVE congrats to @AeonAir for pulling through with the verification after 10 whole months; he grinded the hell out of this and deserved it (HawKyre and ViewSonic had to drop for personal reasons).
Also, this showcase was recorded by @notpara, so an additional thanks to him.

Aside from that, though, happy new year! 2021 was a bit of a slower year for me; while I did get some creations done and released a level, things like college and general lack of interest in GD contributed much to my inactivity, and on top of that personal issues in my real life that I won't get into here kind of chipped away at my mood. Overall, I would say that 2021 was "turbulent"; some pretty great things happened, but there were also some very low lows. It definitely wasn't the best year, but we can only look forward, right? Projects like NEUTRA and other levels are on the horizon, so I'm excited to show those off this year (hopefully). But just in general, I'm excited to see what 2022 has in store for us, and I hope you are too. At the very least, let's remain optimistic and keep our heads high. Cheers!

More stuff!!! The last time I uploaded on this channel was 6 months ago, but now I'm finally back with something. Sorry about the long wait; creating has just been really slow this year, and with college and other real-life obligations being a thing, I don't anticipate it'll get faster anytime soon. For now, though, here's a little something that I've been working on for the past month or so. Hope you like it!

Another goddamn year, another goddamn level. This one’s been in the works since May of last year, and after some very sporadic on-and-off work, it’s finally done. As you’re probably able to tell from the name, the theme for this one is fire, with a particular focus on mostly everything spinning and rotating. There’s also the motif of very rapid pulsing, which I mainly kept just because of how fast and chaotic the song is; I honestly wasn’t really planning to use it beyond the first cube, but I just went along with it and I think it turned out alright (even if it is a little rough on the eyes lol). For decoration I kinda felt like going back to my roots in 1.9-2.0-esque design, but a lot more polished and with a sort of modern twist to it. Now, upon watching the level, you may be confused regarding the sudden color change at 1:02. Well, another concept I was going for was the level getting increasingly hotter in temperature as you progress. So I started off the level with a slight shade of red—the color of a flame at its coolest—and tried to have it progress through orange, yellow, white, and eventually blue—the color of a flame at its hottest (and then the last part is meant to represent the level cooling down). It’s really only noticeable during the drop and I feel the transitions from color to color could’ve been smoother, but I couldn't really think of another way to do it. Concerning gameplay, I’m hoping that it’s good to play. I tried to make it as fun, balanced, and bug-free as possible, but I was too lazy to get input from playtesters so I am a little unsure about it. Nonetheless, I do hope you like this level! I think my favorite part decoration-wise is the first UFO and ball, and the hardest part in my opinion is the blue part. Also, just because I can, I’ll be entering this into Ryder’s 1000 sub creator contest, so that’s a thing.

For real though, I wish each and everyone of you a happy new year. 2020 was one hell of a letdown all things considered, but I'll be honest when I say that this year was actually fairly good for me personally; this was probably my best year for creating yet, and lockdown encouraged me to become closer with a lot of my friends online. Like I said in that community post, let's just try to work towards a brighter future in 2021 and make it a much happier year—let's leave 2020 in the dust. Cheers!

I've been meaning to upload a preview of this level for a while now, but I didn't want to until I had finished a good portion of it. Fittingly, that point was reached during the holiday season! What better time to share a preview of a fire-themed level than on Christmas day? Consider this my gift this year, from me to you :DD. Anyways, this has been in the works since May, and it's been a slow grind ever since. Much of the drop beyond what's in this video is done, so I don't anticipate this level taking *too* much more time to finish (but don't count on it lol). The main idea that I have behind this is that the level increases in temperature as you progress through it, so you may see some interesting colors in the drop. This is inspired in large part by Rose by TheDevon and Fire level by Dudex and others. I hope you like it so far!

This is my part in TORNADO, an extreme demon megacollab being hosted by Bianox as the 3rd part in his series of colorful collabs, the previous ones being CYCLONE and HURRICANE. I'm overall really happy with how this turned out; I feel it's for sure a step-up from my part in CYCLONE, which I honestly don't think is too good (that, and the gameplay here is much less spammy than in my CYCLONE part, so hopefully it's better to play). This is definitely the most daring I've been in terms of colors and pulses, so I hope it's not too hard to look at.

This is my part for Snowblind, a megacollab being hosted by YakobNugget as the third part in his series of Christmas/winter megacollabs, the previous ones being Frostbound and White Ice. I wanted to make it seem like you were dashing across the blizzardy mountain tops, and I'm pretty satisfied with what I've made (I also added some minor lights just to get a lil' Christmas detail in there). Be on the lookout for this level this holiday season! I got high hopes for this one.

This is a very, very special level. In fact, I think I might go as far to say that this is one of my favorite levels ever, if not my favorite. I mean, where do I even begin? The fact that this level exists at all baffles me. I would have never expected anyone to go for—let alone finish—a project of this magnitude and ambition, but I guess Serponge and his team of creators are just crazy like that. That, and the merging and optimization process of this behemoth must have been a goddamn nightmare. Anyways, let’s actually get into the level. If it isn’t clear, this is supposed to be an “open-world” level, in which there are a multitude of branching paths all leading to different areas, meaning that there is a myriad of ways to complete it. You can traverse the main hall, the battlement, the catacombs, the clocktower, and much, much more. Playing through this level just once is not enough; what really makes this experience magical is figuring out what routes you want to take, what collectibles to get, and how exactly you can access certain paths/endings. Showcased in this video are the three paths, each featuring an expertly-designed bossfight by the man Xender Game himself, that you must follow in order to get all three coins: the Library Path, the Deep Path, and the Reaper Path (The Reaper Path is definitely my favorite—when you’re out on the exterior and the boss is causing utter chaos and destruction, it’s oh so intense). But even then, there is still so much more to explore that I didn't show!! With a total of 25 stellar-looking parts, each of which fit the theme perfectly and are made by fantastic creators, this level does something that virtually no other level has ever done before. I urge you to play this level yourself, as only watching a video of it definitely doesn’t do it justice. I give my massive, massive props to the creators that made this insane project possible, as it’s clear they put an immeasurable amount of effort and love into it. It might have been one week overdue, but it was well worth the wait nonetheless.
(Also, if you can, I HIGHLY recommend downloading the 4GB patch if you want to try this level out yourself. After I did so, I experienced 0 crashes while playing and loading the level)

I initially wasn't going to try this, but after seeing KrmaL stream it a bit, I decided to go for it myself. Anyways, when I first saw the preview for this level on hiavl's channel, I was kind of blown away. I had seen little snippets of things that hiavl created before, but this was CRAZY. Well, here's the finished product, and I must say that it's a pretty damn good eye-scramble of a level. Really the only other level I can recall using such wacky saturated colors as this is super probably level by alkali, but hiavl took it a step further and made SFW so much more eye-assaulting than I could have ever asked for. Para also did very good work on the first ball part, fitting hiavl's style in the rest of the level really well. The glitchy, chaotic nature of the song fits the level perfectly, and the gameplay is pretty fun too (albeit a little finnicky and buggy at times, but it wasn't enough to really detract from the experience for me). Overall, I would say that the hardest part was the second "drop", I guess you could call it (0:55-1:06), and the best part is definitely the first "drop", with that iconic orb burst effect (0:30-0:40). Wonderful stuff right here!

Another year, another level. After many months (longer than Zettabyte, in fact) and exactly 118,000 objects, I’ve finally finished another solo project, which just so happens to be my first XL level. Some of you may remember the previews that I uploaded for this earlier and right before this year, as well as the fact that I said I wanted to wait until 2.2 to finish it up (how naive I was 5 months ago…). However, the motivation to build, coupled with the unhealthy amount of free time quarantine has given me, drove me to finish this level sooner rather than later. I remember first listening to this song by meganeko and picturing the appearing/fading effect in the beginning, and from there I’ve basically been slowly building on this ever since. Also, up until that point I had never tried building in a sort of spacey style, and so I thought this would be an opportunity to experiment. I tried to bring as much justice to the song as I could with this level, be it through gameplay or visuals--and honestly, I’m satisfied with the result. I just hope that playing the level isn’t too bad for many of you, especially since this is supposed to be an easier level. However, my man Arb helped to playtest this and he said that it was fun, so maybe he’s right. Speaking of Arb, I’d just like to express my thanks to him; he’s been excited for this level and has given me his support for quite some time now, and I appreciate that. Well, other than that, I hope you enjoy the level!

Before you say anything, yes, the ACTUAL in-game name of this level is “Invisibler Deadlocke” because adding that “d” at the end of “Deadlocke” wouldn’t fit. Still referring to it as “Invisibler Deadlocked” though, because I literally do not care.
...welp, it’s finally done. After over 19,000 attempts, I’ve finally verified this level. I’ve basically been keeping this a secret from you guys for probably 1-2 years now, but I’m so glad that I can now show you guys this level. It truly is unexplainable the effort that was put into making this a reality. But, enough with this cliche description; let’s actually talk about the level. You’ll notice that the name of this level is “Invisibler Deadlocked” (note the “er” part). The idea is basically that the RobTop level Deadlocked is invisible, and on top of that, the PLAYER is invisible as well. You can imagine how insane of an idea that could be. Honestly, I didn’t really know how to think about this idea myself, but the more that I played this level, the more I thought: “Hmm… maybe this isn’t such a fantasy after all.” Hell, during the verification process I had the absurd idea to turn on low detail mode so that I couldn’t even see when I pressed orbs, entered portals, touched pads, and whatever else! Well, I was right about this not being a fantasy, I stuck with the low detail mode challenge because I guess I’m just that crazy, and I don’t have to deal with this level anymore. It truly is an honor to be able to show this to you guys. It may not be a “serious” project like my other levels, I guess, but it sure is something. Hope you enjoy!

I normally don't upload more than one preview for my creations, but this time I just felt like sharing some more progress. After the pre-drop, I wanted to flesh out the level a little bit more and give it some more variety. It might look a little empty in certain parts, specifically the first half, but I'm not too sure as to what else I could add to them. It's mainly just the two colors of blue and purple throughout these parts, but hopefully that isn't too boring. I'm excited to start building the part after this preview since I have some ideas--although I'm unsure as to how well I'll be able to pull it off--but we'll see how it turns out. Hopefully you like it!

I was going to make this preview public a little bit later since I had plans of continuing this level in 2.2, but I decided to make it public now just to give my channel a little boost of energy (plus the fact that today's Christmas and so this can act as my Christmas present to you :)))). Anyways, regarding the level, this one's supposed to be fairly simplistic and also space-themed, which I mainly tried to achieve in this part through the stars in the background, so I hoped I did well enough on that. My vision for this level is that it ends at around the 2-and-a-half minute mark, which is why this preview is a lot longer than previous ones. That is, of course, assuming that I do finish this level (and there are no guarantees that I will, as always), but I would really like to since I have general ideas for each part in my head. Anyways, I hope you like it so far!

Shocksidian is a great creator, which can clearly be seen in this new level of his. It's been a while since he released a solo, but he definitely still has it. The level itself is very nice to look at but not overwhelmingly glowy or object-intensive--something that isn't easy to come by nowadays (because of creators like me xd). What really makes this level stand out, though, is the colors; every part in this level uses different, unique color combinations that make the level interesting to look at and feel very vibrant without using essentially any moving objects, which nowadays is a feat. That's what I love about Shock's style--it's fairly traditional and not necessarily revolutionary, but is still visually appealing and holds up today--and that's all it really needs. The gameplay is also really fun too, syncing well with the music and paralleling the decoration in that it need not be too complex or innovative in order to be good. Overall, a very nice level by a very nice creator. For me, the hardest part was the pre-drop in general (0:01-0:30) and my favorite was the gray/rainbow cube (0:47-1:01).

I don't think I've uploaded a video of one of SirHadoken's levels before, and I think this level is a good first. As many of you can probably tell, this is a remake of the 1.9 megacollab Supersonic by ZenthicAlpha and more--a classic, really. I must say that SirHadoken's work here is really impressive. All of the parts in the original level varied in style by a significant margin, but he still managed to pull off a more modern, 2.1 revamping of the level with every part looking good and staying true to the original. Since Hado built (not to mention verified) this entire level, the level is a lot more cohesive as a result, with hints of his own style shining through in each part. Like the decoration, the gameplay also builds off of the original level while implementing some of the more modern gameplay mechanics and still being satisfying to play. Some parts were a little bit jarring at first, such as the ball dual, but once you get those parts down they're not too bad. Overall, it's clear how polished and professionally-made this level is, with no parts having considerably less or more quality than others. For me, the hardest part was Hado's rendition of Daddepro's (0:47-0:52) and my favorite was his rendition of Ggb0y's (1:04-1:10).

Truly, though, this level is a fantastic display of what creators are capable of doing in this game. The theming of this level is a breath of fresh air; not that many well-known heaven-themed levels have been made, or at least from what I've seen. Each part pulls off the heaven theme very well (although I'm not exactly sure what Terron's part represents), in ways that don't make the level repetitive at all; each part, while having a clear connection with one another, has its own charm to it that makes it different and unique. In all honesty, hearing the song Crimson Chalice for the first time, I wouldn't have immediately associated it with the heavens; but it works surprisingly well! (Plus it's just an awesome, badass song in general). The gameplay is also very fun and satisfying to play for the most part, but there are some things such as some transitions that could've been improved. However, this is a megacollab, so I can cut the creators some slack for that (I'm not really a fan of the gameplay in Darwin's part though). With all of that said, I think I'm done brown-nosing this level for now. In my opinion, the hardest part is Darwin's (0:02) (Thank GOD this part is at the beginning), and my favorite part is either Terron's (0:33) or Knobbelboy's (1:52) (Xender Game's boss is really cool though!)

I'm surprised I even managed to run this level in all of its glory without low detail!)
(Also, note that the audio in this video is edited in since I was listening to something else while playing the level. I would share the raw footage, but I'm too lazy right now :P)
I HIT 1,000 SUBSCRIBERS!
I never really thought that I would reach this milestone as I barely upload videos, but here we are. Thank you so much to everyone for making this possible.
I especially want to thank Viprin, Mulpan, Technical, and anyone else that's given me attention that I’m probably/definitely forgetting. Hitting such a milestone wouldn’t have been a possibility without y’all.
Because this is a pretty significant accomplishment to me I want to do something special to celebrate the occasion, but with school and all, I don’t have much time to do that. If I do in fact do something, it’ll take some time before it’s finished. I know what the special would be, however, so hopefully that gets things going. Please be patient!
Again, thank you, everyone. I’ll see you soon.

It’s been a while since I’ve uploaded a video of me just beating a demon, and I’m glad I saved the next one for this. I was going through some hard/insane demons in GD, and I stumbled across this level. I’d seen it before and thought it looked pretty cool, but I never really tried to play it, so I just decided to do so. Just about everything in this level is done extremely well, from the decoration to the gameplay. The level gives off an Echonox-esque vibe with the rapidly-changing designs and effects, which suits the song of the level perfectly in my opinion. I’m particularly impressed by how consistent the quality is in this level from beginning to end, considering how much time and effort it must’ve taken Darwin to create so many different effects and designs with very distinct colors and ideas. Guess there’s a reason why this level has “Variations” in the name, huh? The gameplay is also really tailored to the song, which helps to make the level cohesive and more enjoyable to play as a whole. Dying at the first few sections of the drop a lot does make playing it a tiny bit tedious, though, but I never got really annoyed while playing it. In my opinion, the best part is the second half of the drop as a whole starting from 0:46 and the hardest part is the one from 0:32 to 0:45.

Wow, it’s a new level! I wasn’t really expecting to make another level so soon, but boredom + some sudden inspiration gave me the motivation to make this. This is a bit of a smaller, less grand project (when compared to Zettabyte, anyway), but I still tried to take it seriously. If it’s somehow not clear, the level has a cave/crystal-y theme, which is something I haven’t really executed that well in the past, or have done at all. As you can see, the level is very blue; in fact, that’s pretty much the only color present in this level, so I hope that’s not too boring. I find that one of my weaknesses when it comes to creating is that it’s difficult for me to venture out of monochromatic colors, so hopefully I can try to improve upon that in the future and incorporate more colors into my creations. This is supposed to be a fairly easy level to play, but you’ll probably still need to play it in practice mode since some of the gameplay might be hard to sightread. In my opinion, the best and hardest part is the second half of the drop, right before the slow part (I especially like the crystal blocks I made there). Anyways, hope you enjoy! Also, today marks the day that I go back to school, so yeah, that's a thing.
(BTW I don’t actually play with controller; I play with spacebar. You can see the controller buttons on the menu screen at the end of the video, but that’s because I experimented with a controller on GD once and they just haven’t gone away since.)

Well, I said I wasn't going to necessarily work on any projects before 2.2, but a sudden urge of inspiration came over me as I rediscovered this song and decided that I wanted to make a level with it. I'm actually fairly confident that I will finish this, considering that at this point I'm about halfway done with it, so be on the lookout for this in the future! (No promises though, as always 8)

I was bored, so I made this. This isn't the most original or innovative gameplay ever (in fact it's pretty traditional), but it was still pretty fun to build, as well as fun and satisfying to play in my opinion. I guess depending on how you look at it this could pass as an actual level (especially considering what I did with the last few parts), but it could be interpreted as layout just as well, I think. Either way, this won’t become anything more than it already is now; it was just for fun.

...well, here it is. My best level to date. After over TWO years of nearly nothing on this channel and in GD (and we’re still in 2.1 smh my head), I’ve finally crawled out of my grave and did something for once. I started building this level at around mid-to-late January of this year, meaning that it took me about 4-5 months of creating to finish and verify it. I actually had the intention of this level not being too ambitious and just being there to give my channel and GD profile a little boost of energy, but it ended up turning into something that I did not really foresee at all: my best level. As you can probably see, this level is themed around technology. I stepped out of my comfort zone when it came to some of the gimmicks that I included, most notably the glitch effects. While I cannot say I have the expertise of effect creators like Serponge, I would say that, as a design creator primarily, I did okay when it came to effects such as those. I tried my best to sync both the visuals and the gameplay with the song (which is a fantastic song by the way), and I think I also did fairly well on that front. I don’t really know how good the gameplay is since I’ve kind of become numb to it since I had to play it constantly when playtesting and verifying, so I hope it’s not too bad. While I would say this is my best level overall, this is without a doubt my most poorly optimized level yet; in only about 90 seconds, I managed to use up 146.7k objects and over 900 groups. I had to set aside days to just rebalance and try my best to optimize (then again, that could just be attributed to laziness and how slow I am). I probably could have done a better job on that front, but the level is verified now and I don’t feel like verifying it again. I would say the best part is the first half of the drop, as I think those block designs are some of the smoothest in the level, and the hardest is probably just the whole drop in general. Now with talking about the level itself out of the way, I think we can transition to something else that I just want to talk about and get off my chest.

Another year, another video. I was wondering what to do to celebrate the new year, and, after some thinking, I ended at this. In other news, I apologize for my extreme dormancy in uploading videos and just doing anything in general when it comes to GD and YouTube. While I did complete some collab parts and uploaded some videos, I didn't actually finish a full project, which I wish I would've had the motivation to do. I feel like me not completing any levels can mostly be attributed to how I really want to make an "extravagant" level that would be my best work, and doing so takes a tremendous amount of time for me (coming up with ideas, executing said ideas, etc.). School also had me preoccupied with stuff to do, so there's another excuse. Overall, I wouldn't say that this was my best year, but it was pretty fun. I hope that I can be able to accomplish more this year and get off my butt to do great things. Happy new year, everyone.

Here’s another really good level by Pennutoh, one of my favorite creators. I can confidently say that this is most definitely his best work so far. The colors and flashes help to give the level a dynamic feel. The decoration is astonishing and it’s even more incredible when you take the time to inspect all of the intricacies and details of it; for a level that’s less than 90 seconds long, it has over 100,000 objects. This just shows how dedicated Pennutoh was in making this level (I do feel that it could’ve been optimized a little to lessen this number, but I guess I can’t say much since my creations are pretty object-dense too) As usual, Pennutoh hits the nail on the head with the gameplay sync, and the song choice is pretty good as well. The gameplay is pretty disorienting at first due to invisible portals (such as at 0:40) and sudden movements (such as at 0:11), so I feel this could be improved to give off a better playing experience. Once you learn it, however, the gameplay is pretty fun in my opinion. One thing I do appreciate though is the gimmicks that Pennutoh uses, such as holding down to launch yourself in the air and modifying where dash orbs go. In my opinion, the best and hardest part was the second half of the drop from 0:40 to 0:47.

Honestly, Th04 is one of my favorite creators. The way he combines block design, colors, song choice, etc. makes each one of his levels unique. All of those qualities of his levels are embodied in this one here. The colors and the design seem to give off a sort of jungle and/or cave theme, giving the level a distinct atmosphere. The sync is obviously really nice, and the song choice is good as well. One thing that I really admire about this level, however, is the fact that it utilizes moving objects in a way that doesn't really take away from the gameplay; in other words, they don't make the level more annoying. I find that a lot of levels these days (in my opinion) use moving objects to the point where the gameplay becomes almost unreadable and unpredictable, which isn't the case here, so props to Th04 for that. This is definitely one of the best 2.1 levels I've played so far. In my opinion, the hardest part is the dual and wave from 0:43 - 0:49 and the best is the robot from 0:50 - 0:54.

Chances are that some of you (probably not any of you) remember a preview of a collab I released in November of 2016 (this preview here youtube.com/watch?v=i544LlDjm8c) Well, this is that level that’s come out just now. As you might be able to see, this level’s quite old. I built and finished my part in 2.0 entirely 2 years ago, and it’s been untouched since. My collab partner, RipTideZ, edited his part a little and added some 2.1 features (along with some silly things such as Squidward). Well, at least you can say that a level that features me has now been released. For a fairly long time, Ryan (his real name) left GD and it felt like he probably wasn’t going to come back. But, lo and behold, he returned to the game about a week ago and began work on the later half of the level; where my part stopped at 0:53. Ryan sent a preview of the level to me yesterday, but other than that, there wasn’t much forewarning to this being released, so it does come a little as a surprise. Ryan’s work on the later half does appear to be slightly rushed, but I guess he just wanted to get the level out there after so much time of it being dead, which I can’t blame him for. I’d say that I’m still pretty proud of my part knowing how old it is, and Ryan’s is pretty good as well, even if it is a little messy (as he says).
