I'm not a big fan of vidding this kind of song. There is nothing more than some (awesome) notes on a keyboard. Nothing more. But I'm in love with the song I can't help it. Sadly I feel I did not make justice to it. That song breaks my heart everytime I hear it and I really wanted you to feel the same after watching the vid. I'm not sure it will actually... This is the final round for the BOIT competition and we had a free choice for the video. Sometimes freedom is a poisoned gift ! I mean I didn't know what to do ! I don't know if I made the right choice but I always wanted to do something using that amazing dialogue between Rosalie and Bella. Because I really understand what Rosalie meant there. ABOUT THE VIDEO : Rosalie has a point. But Bella doesn't realise what she's going to lose and what she's going to become. I really wanted to add to the deepness of Rosalie's quotes using images of what was and will be her life and what differencies there were going to be between her present life and her future life. Besides Bella as a vampire is a cool idea I might use for the future... FOR THE COMPETITION : I know I didn't use many effects and that the video could seem far too simple to win but I hope the video would please in other differents aspects at least. The Story of How I Died - A Promo [BOIT 5] analeian 2010-07-30 | **PLEASE WATCH in HD 720p** (and read the description box for more information about the storyline/video) This is my Entry for the BOIT Challenge "Trailer". This is a promo for an "almost AU story". Why "almost" ? Because the storyline is based on real facts of the Doctor Who Series but since we didn't actually see Rose fighting for finding her way back to the right universe where the Doctor lives I decided to focus on that part. ********************************** To the BOIT judges : We were supposed to complete a trailer/promo for..well...whatever fandom we wanted. I really appreciated the large possibility of subjects the challenge gave us ! But it doesn't mean the round was easier ! I even think it was the hardest one ! I wondered how on earth I was going to be able to keep my vidding style and to follow the rules required by a trailer at the time. But to clear this up from the start : I would prefer calling the vid a "promo" instead of a "trailer" since I decided to leave the storyline a bit blurry (in the old "show, don't tell" kind of way). Indeed from my personal POV I have always been attracted to that type of promotion for a movie. That kind of teaser which leaves you with many questions, doesn't give too much away but confuses you enough to want to see more of it at the same time (because obviously many scenes are out of context and aren't really what they seem to be). I guess I'm going to be miles away from what people would expect to see but I really hope the main goal of a trailer (which was making the people who watch the promo wanting to see more) has been reached (or at least touched upon). I know I didn't apply the usual look af a trailer and at first I wanted to delete my coloring. But I choose to create a particular atmosphere. I was really undecided about the fandom I wanted to vid and I could have taken a risk in vidding Doctor Who since I believe none of the judges actually watch the show...But I guess that this is a good exercise to know whether my promo is worth it ! ^^ ************************** Building the video - The Storyline in a few words : the original storyline is set (for those who already are familiar with Doctor Who) at the end of the season 2 when Rose is trapped in a parallel universe and is left dead in the right one. She is separated from the Doctor after saying to him she loved him. There is no way back. Rose manages to come back 2 seasons later but she loses the Doctor over again since she came back in the alternate universe at the end (for those who would wonder Human Ten doesn't exist in my story). The storyline of the video is supposed to be based after that last time Rose loses the Doctor. She is willing to give anything and even her life to get her Doctor back. Will she manage to do so or will she lose everything ? A few tips for a better understanding of the video for those who won't have any idea who/where/when/what is Doctor Who : He is a man who travels in time and space and Rose was his companion for a long time. Becoming Bella/Alice [The Switch Challenge BOIT] analeian 2010-04-05 | ***IMPORTANT! This vid has been made for the BOIT Challenge 3 in which we had to switch 2 characters. I decided to choose Bella and Alice. It was really weird to imagine I could manage to build a Bella/Jasper's relationship or (worse) a Alice/Edward romance ! Weird ! This is pure AU guys don't be mad at me for that ! ABOUT THE VID : That was not my first idea for the challenge. But I think the main difficulty was to use only TW's footage. Pride & Prejudice [The Books Challenge BOIT] analeian 2010-03-07 | **PLEASE WATCH in HD 720p Small screen** NOTES : I've read that book a long time ago and I just remember that the 2005 movie was very quick and forgot many events but I also found that poetry that made me love Jane Austen's novels. I decided to focus on Lizzie and Darcy's storyline. I didn't want to overuse voice-overs because I don't think that poetry needs words. I tried to mix dark colors for the ink and red colors for love. I was worried to do nothing more than a classic music video or something too linear. Therefore my video is more focus on Jane Austen's writting style than on the storyline. But I found it interesting to begin with Elizabeth's POV and to finish with Darcy's one which is really the contrary of the storyline. Indeed Mr Darcy is the first to express his feelings for Elizabeth. But the first sentence is the first sentence of the book "It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife". Im really sorry, Dad [BOIT Rewind & Rewrite] analeian 2010-01-24 | **PLEASE WATCH IN HD (720p)** READ DESCRIPTION BEFORE/AFTER I don't really mind as long as you read it ! -ORIGINAL STORYLINE : New Moon Bella and Edward are in love. But Bella's life is put in danger when Edward's brother attempted to kill Bella at her birthday's party. Edward decides to leave her to make her safe. Bella is distressed and can't seem to moved on. After her father threatens her to take her back to her mother at Phoenix she decides to go out with Jessica, one of her ex-friend. She starts hearing Edward's voice when she is acting reckless. She understands that more reckless she acts more Edward's she'll see. [that's where I start] -REAL STORY : Bella decided to motocycle and she becomes closer to Jacob as he helps her to fix bikes. After a few months, she managed to do surface by spending time with Jacob her best friend.Jacob turned to be a werewolf. The Cullens gone, Victoria, a vampire who is searching for revenge, comes back to Forks and tries to find a way to kill Bella. The werewolfs decide to chase her down and protect Bella and her father. Spending more and more time alone, Bella decided to cliffdiving as an attempt to see Edward once again. Everything goes wrong and Bella drowns. Jacob manages to save her...[not the end of the story but that's what interests us] -REWRITE : [Prelude: Bella and Jacob never met in "Twilight"] Bella never got better. She never drove bike and stopped seeing Edward. After a few months her father decided that she must go home to Phoenix. Bella refuses and promises she will get better and she will go hanging out with Jessica. But she doesn't. She decided to fugue and go finding Edward. She leaves at night. The next day Charlie, unprotected, was found killed by Victoria, who was trying to kill Bella as a revenge. She is found helpless by Edward in the forest . She wakes up in her bedroom, Edward standing next to her. He tells her about her father's death. Bella is helpless. Charlie's death was all her fault. After a while, Alice comes to Bella's place to tell her about the vision she had of Bella jumping off a cliff as an attempt to kill herself. Bella realizes that if she dies no one will never die and risk his life to save her from Victoria. After leaving a letter to Edward, she takes her trunck to the cliff. Alice tells Edward the vision she had. Edward runs towards the place Bella's going to jump. But Edward isn't fast enough. Still can't believe Tennant's gone... I wasn't really sure if I wanted to start with a Ten Tribute or not. I finally choose to do something more bitter focusing on his death only... Because I think that Ten's Era wasn't so cheerful (since Series 3). He was actually tortured by the Time war, the loss of Rose and the fact he had to take responsibility for all the people who died before his eyes (or because of him). *********************************** The video is divided in 3 parts : the general tribute - the knocking (4times) - the start of the regeneration. Thanks to those who already left comments ! *hugs* This is going to be me YNTV's entry for the challenge "character study" I hope I did the right choice ! ************************************* THE VID : I know that basing a vid on Bella's death is not the most original thing ever but I think that all the story of the saga turns around "Death". Bella wants to die : to be and live like Edward first, and to simply feel that he still exists in "New Moon". I wanted to show Bella's disapppointements particulary in "New Moon", how she hurts people and the most important thing how she always feels alone (not only after Edward and Jacob leave her behind). Bella is a stronger character than people could think she is. I didn't wanted to be stuck with a basic "I love Edward, he left, going to jump" thing. I really hope I didn't ^^ She only faces happiness after jumping from the cliff and almost dying. All the clips move and turn pretty fast to show that before dying you sort of see your life and the reasons that bring you there scrolling before your eyes. I really really hope you will enjoy the final vid ! (I've changed the title since I LOVE that line") ********************************************** I recently found myself addicted to this show. I love the whole dynamic between Merlin and Arthur. I think that is what makes the show so interesting (that was really clever to introduce Merlin as a young boy). I wanted to show how much Merlin's fate is related to Arthur's and how hard it is for him to make people safe without beeing caught doing magic. Because he always has to hide what he really is for the "greater good" but I think he somehow wants people to find out who he really is. That could explain why I wanted to make of that last line "They won't, they never do" something a bit bitter and sad. The series played with many different emotions (not only comedy) and I wanted to show that apart from love/ship or comedy, that show is deeper than I expected it to be. NOTE : So sorry about the end of the song cutting off a bit too quickly. I didn't use the right version of the song but could change it since I was going to finish the vid. A Better way of Living Your Life - Doctors Companions analeian 2009-05-01 | **WATCH in HD** READ DESCRIPTION: That video was really weird to make. Actually because the Doctor is supposed to be gone and I tried to show him the less I could. Plus the song is really slow and I didn't want to end with something boring (I really wish you won't think so). At first when I heard this song I felt like it could be a great Doctor/Rose's vid. But I end up (nobody knows why) with the feeling that the Doctor let something behind him with each companion. I mean Rose has the physical part (obviously TenII) and she managed to trust herself. Martha is more independant and knows what she can manage to do by herself. Donna (after the Runaway Bride) changed so much and stopped being so selfish. And of course even she didn't remember, she has a part of the Doctor now... I don't know if that makes sense for anyone but I wanted to do something simple, from the companions's POV. I wanted to bring back different feelings because call it sad I thought it should be hopeful too...Well I think I failed for that part !
