Over 15 years of experimenting and coaching, I’ve seen a pattern where people 1. run into pain, THEN you see 2. a loss of mobility, and THEN you see 3. athleticism takes a dive.
Fortunately, I’ve consistently seen athletic transformations beyond what we even hoped for by REVERSING that sequence.
I hope this helps.

“Can I add more?” Absolutely! I go from trying more, to simplifying, to trying more, to simplifying. This video was important to me because on the flipside, I’ve seen many comments on my mobility videos like “Who has time for all this?!” So in this video I narrowed things down to just 4 movements! With these 4 alone, you could build above average mobility. And time spent on STRENGTH through flexibility is perhaps the best long-term exercise investment I’ve ever seen. On that note…
“How long till I see results?” Well, I passed another birthday last week, marking 15 YEARS since I started exploring knee over toes and thus strength through flexibility. I WAS NOT SEEKING TO GET FLEXIBLE. I simply wanted to be able to play basketball without painkillers and more knee surgeries. I accomplished that, and a lot more! About 6-8 years in, I started to notice many comments on my mobility. I was surprised at first. But now, having kids of my own, I can see what occurred: most people LOSE so much natural mobility, that if you get it back and keep it, you’re in like the 1% of modern mobility! But how fast will that occur? Well, that’s not my purpose. Helping your exercise routines for LIFE is my purpose. And will everyone be the same? No! ANY improvement of strength and flexibility is something to be grateful for, since most people will just keep on getting more fragile.
“Sets and reps?” My passion is more in the quality of the ingredients. How you cook them up can have a wide variety of options which all work well! 1-4 sets of 5-10 controlled reps, 1-3 times per week, would be a good general guide on these exercises. However, in early stages, at easier levels, I tend to program slower tempos or higher reps, to exhaust the movement at lower difficulty, like how a beginner would master bodyweight “push-ups” - but for mobility.
I will continue to update this based on the comments that come in.

But I refuse to believe other adults are more powerful over my kids’ health than me - or that youth health isn’t SIMPLE. I hope this helps your fam in some way. 🫡❤️
I’ve been using rings for pull-ups and rows since before having kids, and we make ours for $40 at https://www.atgequipment.com.
