QwertyuiopThePieI upgraded the portal gun from D2. Overdone, I know, but I think this is the best version I've seen yet. It's specifically designed so that anyone can pick up the schematic and build their own portal map, or at least will be once I add a couple features I've been wanting to add.
I have no intention of using this myself. I just made it cause I was bored. You, on the other hand, might have a use for it.
Also, while I could use colored reddust to avoid the dripping, I'm not going to. It'd require a massive fill clock just for a portal effect consisting of dots. I much prefer this look, even if it is drippy.

This is the old version of this trailer, the new one is here: youtu.be/Rktk7peLzvkVoK Behind the Scenes Pt.1: History and DesignQwertyuiopThePie2016-10-27 | In this episode, I go over the history of the map, as well as how its design progressed over time. I also give the reasoning behind some map features, such as the AI and the elytra shortcut.
Music is based on "Alpacalypse", by ScottyTheDude! He was nice enough to make a custom version of it specifically for this video, so be sure to give his soundcloud some love! Twitter: twitter.com/Scotty_The_Dude Soundcloud: soundcloud.com/alpacapack

Don't assume that a map that works in vanilla will work on a modded server. I decided to upload this because the side-effects in this case are quite funny.Valley of the Kings is released!QwertyuiopThePie2016-10-10 | It has a proper trailer now: youtube.com/watch?v=Q9pG-7ohljw
...Sorry about the delay, I sorta forgot all about this channel what with minecon and everything.
While we're here, here's the announcement for the "prerelease 3" version, which I completely forgot to un-unlist (which explains the lack of testers): youtube.com/watch?v=Z3_S6S9nJkgMinecon 2016 Panel Announcement + QuestionsQwertyuiopThePie2016-09-20 | It's boring to listen to a voice over a blank screen, so I figured I'd test the upcoming map from The Broken Buttons. Please leave any potential questions you'd like answered at the panel in the comments!
Added in this pre-release: -More particles -Bug fixes -Small tweaks and changes -Adjustible AI system for base defenseValley of the Kings Pre-release AnnouncementQwertyuiopThePie2016-05-29 | It has a trailer now: youtube.com/watch?v=Q9pG-7ohljw
Leaving this video up for posterity.Map Template UpdateQwertyuiopThePie2016-05-12 | This was designed for some time ago, so it's still outdated. Maybe I'll update it one of these days. If I do, this and the previous video will become unlisted.
Thanks to RazeNave for doing the body-acting!1.9 Map TemplateQwertyuiopThePie2016-02-14 | As evidenced by the title, this template is hopelessly outdated. Don't expect the commands to work.
This template can be used if you want to skip all the boring selecting-the-spawn-chunks, setting-up-basic-spawning stuff that can get tiring when you have to do it for every new map individually. Download is here for anyone interested:
And yes, I pronounced his name "Sarge". No, I don't know why either.Guide to Preparing for ReleaseQwertyuiopThePie2016-02-12 | NOTE: This tutorial is from 2016. Very little of it applies to modern mapmaking, please do not refer to it for basically anything. How did you even get here?
The written version is still in the works, so here's a video version! Coupled with shameless self-promo!

Brief musical interlude provided by a lazy modification of a Kevin Macleod song: http://incompetech.comSantas Workshop New map!QwertyuiopThePie2015-12-12 | Sorry about the audio quality. My usual mic was... unavailable, so I recorded this on my laptop.
Map download: http://www.minecraftmaps.com/puzzle-maps/santas-workshop Map is for 15w50a. Obviously. Although I'm not sure why you'd want to play it, seeing as The Present Factory is better in just about every way.The MazeQwertyuiopThePie2015-04-16 | Incomplete trailer. I'll unlist this once the actual trailer is ready. Consider this a raw teaser!
The full maze is 100 square kilometers of madness. I was going to add secrets, but there'd have to be a ridiculous number of them to find even one, so I decided not to. It does have a competitive exploration system... sort of. I plan on releasing it when the next Limited Engagement episode comes out.
It was silent before, so I just added a little classical music.
Also, I used this to make it: http://replaymod.com1-hour mapmaking challenge with Moesh and Nickflame20QwertyuiopThePie2015-03-17 | Also includes the topic selection and playing the maps after. Well, playing mine. Talking about the others.
Don't worry, GSW is not on hold. Far from it: The PvP portion of GSWIII is in the beginnings of a proper testing phase. Once tested, and with a few cosmetic finishing touches, it will be ready to go.

I'd link Nickflame and Moesh's youtubes here, but Moesh never uses his youtube and I'm not sure Nickflame even has one. Here's our twitches instead.

Starting from the beginning really isn't that bad when you consider hint spam.Diversity 2 Puzzle Speedrun: No Hints (No commentary)QwertyuiopThePie2014-09-11 | Some people claimed this was impossible. So I uploaded this! I guess you can use if if you're stuck, but as you'll see from the "With Hints" version that's not really possible.
I'm playing this on an older version of the map (hence some bugs elsewhere) but with a newly implemented portal system that you'll notice is much more stable than what we had before.

The Hall of Shame: -QmagnetGSWII.5 TrailerQwertyuiopThePie2013-09-12 | The long-awaited (not really) half-sequel to the space warfare map, GSW, is here! I bring you, GSWII.5: Great Squid Water!
While GSWII was complex, GSWII.5 is simple. Very simple. You buy squids for the price listed on the sign. You can also buy decorations for your tank on the other side. Each squid has its own name and backstory, which you can read about in the squid book.
Download: Not yet available, still working out some kinks.
