Teachers are the most important school-based variable to providing high quality education. Without a sufficient supply of teachers in every community and in every field of study, education cannot be equitable or adequate. But the teacher supply statewide is increasingly problematic because teachers are leaving the field at record numbers, and fewer people are entering the field. We need solutions that will improve the status of teaching, retain professionalism, strengthen the teacher corps, and that allow schools to better meet the needs of students. Guest experts will join us to break down and discuss solutions to these pressing issues.Voter Registration TrainingLeague of Women Voters of Ohio2024-04-04 | Turn your voter registration event into a successful program with best practices on how to organize yourself, what to bring, and how to make the ask; and ensure that the voters you register show up to cast their ballot!Ohio Public Education The Voucher Explosion Affects All of UsLeague of Women Voters of Ohio2024-02-29 | Ohio's new EdChoice Expansion law will increase state spending on private school tuition to more than $1billion by next school year. This is another question we get a lot, and the answer is FALSE. If Issue 1 passes, abortion care would be protected until the point of viability. After that the state can limit abortion in functionally the same way the government did under Roe v. Wade, with exceptions made if the pregnant poses a threat to the patient's life or health.
