What does intelligence actually mean—and are we asking the wrong questions about AI?
In this interview, AI expert Rumman Chowdhury challenges common assumptions about artificial intelligence, human cognition, and the future of education. She argues that intelligence is a human-made construct, explains why AI is unlikely to replace people, and discusses the uniquely human capabilities we should value as technology continues to evolve.
She also shares advice for students and educators on using AI responsibly: education should teach us how to think, not what to think. AI can support critical thinking and learning, but it should never replace them.
