The entire Pokémon Platinum soundtrack but piano only ArichDKC 2020-03-04 | A few days ago I was listening to the absolutely beautiful upload of the Pokémon Emerald soundtrack but with trumpets only. One of the comments suggested the Pokémon Platinum soundtrack but with just piano. I've always loved the Sinnoh region and its wonderful soundtrack so I took it upon myself to do it!It honestly took a lot of trial and error to make this possible. The Diamond/Pearl soundfont I downloaded kept crashing my program so I continued searching for one that didn't. I was finally able to download one (in which I could load each instrument individually) which worked. I then downloaded a midi rip I found (shoutout to MarinaraSauce from the PureZC forums for the upload). One at a time I loaded each midi, converted each audio channel to the sf2 piano (removing drums for each track) and exported each track as .mp3. It was super repetitive, but I was determined.During the middle of all of this I realized that the rip was missing Hearthome City (Night). I couldn't find it on Google after extensive searches so I had to do some research on how to get it myself. I ended up downloading a DS music ripping program, VGMTrans, and extracted it from the ROM. It was much easier than I thought it'd be: you just drag the ROM into the program, find the track you want to convert (tracks have vague titles but there's a "play" button to listen to them in the program to figure out what's what), right-click on your desired track & save it as a midi. If you want to rip DS music yourself it's that easy!Fortunately the midi rip I downloaded had most of the tracks already named.I hope you guys enjoy!!
