Create (2) 2 3/8" x 1" gussets for pocket sides.

kwclement 2024-03-19 | It's time for our March 2024 Birthday Card of the Month Tutorial. Today we're creating a feminine, shabby chic card with Stamperia Romance Forever collection.

Basic Card Measurements:

5 1/8" x 7 1/4" top fold card base:
Join (2) 5 1/8" x 8 1/2" panels of soft pink cardstock with 1/4" Scor-Tape.
Score on the long side at 7 1/4" and 7 1/2".
Fold on the 7 1/2" score line and score at 7 1/8" and 7 3/8.

For the box pocket sides: 8 1/2" x 3" panel of soft pink. Score on the right at 1/4" and 1/2". Fold on the 1/2" score line and measure over to 5 1/8". Score at 5 1/8", 5 3/8", and 5 5/8". Trim away the excess. Fold sides to form the side of the box pocket.

Cardstock liners (lilac)
(3) 5" x 7" soft pink front cover, inside
(1) 4 7/8" x 2 7/8" soft pink

Patterned paper:
(1) 4 7/8" x 6 7/8" front cover

Graphic 45 The Beach Is Calling Step Out Fun Fold Card Tutorial

kwclement 2024-03-14 | Welcome to Throwback Thursday! This week we're taking a fresh look at one of my most popular video tutorials as we make a Step Out Fancy Fold card with Graphic 45 The Beach is Calling.

Measurements:

Cut one sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" paper into an 11" x 5 1/4" panel and n 11" x 2 3/4" panel.

Score the 11" x 5 1/4" panel at 3", 6" and 9".
Turn the paper to the 5 1/4" side. Find the 3" score line and measure down 2 1/2". Make a mark.

Find the 9" score line and measure down 2 1/2" and make a mark.

Use a precision trimmer to cut a straight line from the mark on the 3" score line all the way down to the 9" score line.

Fold the card as seen in the video.

Cut the 11" x 2 3/4" panel to a height of 5 1/4". Join to the right hand edge of the card base with 1/4" score tape.

Liners: Plain Cardstock
2 7/8" x 5 1/8"
2 7/8" x 2 5/8" (2)
2 7/8" x 2 1/4" (2)
2 7/8" x 5 1/8" (2)

Graphic 45 Let it Snow Tea Party in a Box Folio Tutorial

kwclement 2023-12-14 | For this week's Throwback Thursday project we'll be making this lovely Graphic 45 Let it Snow Deluxe Tea Party in a Box Folio featuring Reneabouquets Beautiful Board and Christmas flowers.

BASIC MEASUREMENTS:
18x12 panel of 110# cardstock trimmed to 18" x 6"
Score at 6" 7 3/4", FOLD on 7 3/4" line; Score again at 6" and 7 3/4".

NOTE: You can cut a 12x12 piece of heavy cardstock in half at 6" and join if you don't have the larger cardstock paper.

Cut 7" x 7" front and back covers from patterned paper; wrap around 6x6 panels of light chipboard.

Liners; (2) 5 7/8" squares of patterned paper for left and center panel. (4) 1 5/8" x 5 7/8" panels for inner and outer spines. (2) 2 1/4" x 5 7/8" panels for the flaps.

Pull Out Page: Cut a 12x12 panel of patterned paper into (2) 12" x 5 1/2" panels. Score the 1st panel at 5 1/2" and 11". Then adhere the second panel over the 1" flap and score at 5 1/2" and 11". Adhere the 1" flap to the base of the left hand panel as a pull out page. You can add 5" x 5" panels of Patterns and Solids to every other page to break up the pattern and add interest if desired.

Magnetic closure: 7" x 3" panel of white cardstock scored at 3". Adhere the 3" x 3" part on the base page. The 4" x 3" part will be on top of the pull out pages. Add magnets to hold closed, then cover with designer paper.

Box Pocket: Cut a just under 9" x 5" panel of white cardstock and score (2) 3/4" lines on each side and on the bottom. Cover with a 5 7/8" x 3 3/8" panel of designer paper.

Flap/hidden pocket element. Fold a 7" x 5" panel of Patterns in solids in half at 3 1/2". Place gussets on the back and adhere to the flap as seen in the video.

BASIC MEASUREMENTS

Cut (2) 4 1/8" x 8" panels of Gold Mirror Cardstock. Score at 5 7/8"
Cut (2) 4 1/8" x 7" panels of Gold Mirror Cardstock. Score at 5 7/8".

Cut (4) 4" x 5 5/8" panels of Fresh Asparagus.
Cut the 4 images from the A4 pad and mat on the green, then the gold.

Lid: 8 1/8" square of Fresh Asparagus. Score all 4 sides at 1" and 2".
8" x 7/8" strips of gold mirror cardstock for edge.
12" x 5/8" strips of green music paper over the gold.
Top: 3 3/4" square of gold foil with 3 1/2" square of music paper over.

Inside liners: 4" x 5 3/4" panels of Fresh Asparagus to line the 4 panels.
4x4 square of gold mirror cardstock for the center.
3 3/4" square of green music pattern.
2 1/2" square of green for bottom of acrylic box.

Acrylic Box: 11" x 4" panel of acetate. Score at 2 1/2", 5", 7 1/2" and 10". Turn and score a 3/4" flap on the bottom.

Line the acrylic box with images from the paper collection trimmed to 3 1/4" high.

Waterfalls: (4) 3 3/4" x 6" of patterned paper with 1/2" flap on top.
Flaps: (2) 6" x 5 1/2" panels scored at 2 1/4"
Base page: (4) 3 3/4" x 5 1/2" panels of dark green pattern.

Box pocket:
8 1/2" x 4"; score (2) 3/4" lines on the sides and bottom. You can watch my videos to learn how to assemble the box pocket.

Pull Out Mechanism:
Join a 12" x 5 1/2" panel of cardstock to a 6" x 5 1/2" panel of cardstock and score every 5 1/4". You'll have a small flap that becomes the closure for the pull-out page.

Lets Make a Christmas Tea Party in a Box with Graphic 45 Time to Flourish & Reneabouquets

kwclement 2023-11-30 | In this week's Throwback Thursday, I'm going to show you how to use small scraps to create a lovely 5" x 7" Tea Party in a Box. We're working with scraps from Graphic 45 Time to Flourish December papers. Our flowers and chipboard embellishments are from Reneabouquets.

Basic Measurements:

For the 5x7 Tea Party in a Box Card Base
(2) 5" x 8 1/2" panels of white 110# cardstock. Score the first panel at 7" and 7 3/4". Adhere the 2nd panel to the flap of this section so that the top edge rests just below the 7 3/4" score line. Trim to a height of 7 inches.

Liners; Red: (2) 4 7/8" x 6 7/8" (one can be just 6 1/2" tall)
(1) 6 1/2" x 6 1/2". Score a 1 3/4" flap on the LEFT
Green: (3) 4 5/8" x 6 5/8"
Box Pocket:

8" x 4 1/2" panel of white 110# cardstock. Score (2) 3/4" lines on the left, right and bottom of the panel as seen in the folio.

Liner: 6" x 4" journal card trimmed to a height of 3 3/4". Score 1/2" on the sides and 3/4" on the bottom.

Mintay White Christmas Shaker Folio Tutorial

kwclement 2023-11-28 | Today we're going to learn how to make a great little Christmas folio using Mintay White Christmas papers and ephemera. The basic folio design is so simple and functional that you'll want to make a stack of them to have on hand.

Here are the basic measurements for the folio base:

18" x 6 1/2" panel of 110# cardstock scored at 6 1/2", and 7 1/2". Fold on the 7 1/2" score line and score again at 6 1/2". ** NOTE: if you don't have 18" long cardstock, join two pieces of 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock together with 1/4" Scor-Tape. Then trim to the proper size.

Liners for the folio base:

Front and back covers:
(2) 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" panels of red
(2) 6 1/4" x 6 1/4" panels of soft aqua
(2) 6x6 panels of printed designer paper

Inside:
(2) 6 3/8" x 6 1/2" panels of red
(2) 6 1/8" x 6 1/4" panels of soft aqua

Front of Flap: (1) 4" x 6 1/2" panel of red
(1) 3 3/4" x 6 1/4" soft aqua
Back of Flap:
(1) 3 7/8" x 6 1/2" panel of red
(1) 3 5/8" x 6 1/4" panel of soft aqua

Pull Out Mechanism
18" x 5" panel of 110" natural cardstock scored at 3" and 8". Fold on the 8" score line and score at 5" and 10".

Liners:
Front of 3x5 flap
(1) 3" x 5" panel of red
(1) 2 3/4" x 4 3/4 panel of aqua
(1) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" panel of patterned paper
Back of 3x5 flap
(1) 2 7/8" x 5 panel of red
(1) 2 5/8" x 4 7/8" panel of patterned paper

Cut (3) 4 7/8" x 5" panels of red and (2) 4 7/8" x 5" panels of aqua
Cut (3) 4 1/2" x 4 3/4" panels of patterned paper

Cut (1) 1 1/4" x 5" panel of red to line the back of the pull out as seen in the video.

We've been making a monthly banner with Graphic 45's Time to Flourish Collection each month in 2023, and it's time to create our December banner. This is the final banner in this series.

Graphic 45 December Flower Market Folio Tutorial

kwclement 2023-11-14 | Welcome to Make & Take Tuesday! Today we are creating the final folio for our Graphic 45 Flower Market monthly folio series. The December Folio uses the 8x8 and 12x12 December Flower Market pages as well as many elements from the Graphic 45 Warm Wishes collection.

BASIC MEASUREMENTS
Folio base: (2) 8 1/2" x 11 panels of Pomegranate Cardstock overlapped 1/4" and secured with Scor-Tape. Score at: 4", and 4 3/8", Fold on the 4 3/8" score line and score at 8 1/2" and 8 7/8". Fold so that the 4" score line is on the bottom as a pocket panel.
For the wings: (2) 9 3/8” x 8 1/4" panels of Pomegranate Cardstock. Score at 1/2" and 7/8".
Cover art: 8 3/8" Mustard Seed cardstock; 8 1/8" Asparagus Cardstock. For the gold border: (4) ½” x 8 1/8” strips of gold foil cardstock. Miter the corners and adhere 1/8” from the edge of the Asparagus Cardstock. Cut the 8x8 panel of Flower Market into (2) 4x8 panels. Set one aside. Cut the other into (4) 1" x 8" panels. Miter the corners as seen in the video. Poinsettia mats slightly larger panels of Asparagus, Gold and Pomegranate Cardstock.
Top flap: 8 3/8" square Asparagus; 8 1/8” square poinsettia pattern from Warm Wishes; 1 sheet of 8x8 Warm Wishes card stock cut into (2) 4” x 8” panels; Score ½” flaps on the sides and secure behind the poinsettia pattern to make a gate fold;
Right hand top flap: 4" x 8 " panel of Flower Garden on the LEFT; Pocket : 5 ¼” x 9” Warm Wishes scored ½” on right hand side, top and bottom; Folio is 6x6 lined with 5 ¾” panels.
Left hand flap: 12" x 8" Warm Wishes scored at 3 ¾”; Flap liners are 3 1/2" x 7 3/4".
Inside Right Hand Flap: same measurements
Inside Left Hand Flap: 8 ¼” x 12” panel of Warm Wishes Scored at 8 ¼”. Flap goes on the top. Lateral Waterfall pieces are 5 1/4” x 6 ¾” with ½” flap scored on LEFT. Magnetic belt: 8 “ x 2” strip of Warm Wishes with ½” flap scored on RIGHT.
Center Pocket: 8 3/8” x 5” panel of Asparagus; 8 1/8” x 4 ¼” panel of Flower Market to line the top; 8 ¼” x 3 ¾” panel of Warm Wishes to line the pocket face.

Graphic 45 November Flower Market Folio of the Month Tutorial

kwclement 2023-10-17 | Welcome to Make & Take Tuesday! This week we are continuing our year long series as we make our Graphic 45 October Flwoer market Folio together.

If this is your first visit, you can find the January-September folios in my Make & Take Tuesday Play List.

Here are the basic measurements for this project:

Folio base:
(2) 8 1/2" x 11 panels of Tomato Soup Cardstock overlapped 1/4" and secured with Scor-Tape.

Score at: 3 3/4", 4", and 4 1/4". Fold on the 4 1/4" score line and score at 8 1/2" and 9". Fold so that the 3 3/4" score line is on the bottom as a pocket panel.

For the wings: (2) 8 1/2" x 8 1/4" panels of Tomato Soup Cardstock. Score at 1/2" and 7/8" e.

For the cover art: 8 3/8" Mustard Seed cardstock; 8 1/8" Fern Cardstock. Cut the 8x8 panel of Flower Market into (2) 4x8 panels. Set one aside. Cut the other into (4) 1" x 8" panels. Miter the corners as seen in the video.

Top flap: 8 3/8" square Fern; 12" x 8 1/8" panel of Mustard Seed Scored at 8 1/8". Flap goes on the LEFT. Flap Liner: 3 3/4" x 7 7/8" Country Harvest. 7 3/4" square of Country Harvest to line inside page.

Right hand top flap: 8 3/8" square Fern; 4" x 7 3/4" " panel of Flower Garden on the Right; Pocket is 4 1/4" x 7 3/4". Score 1/2" flap on the LEFT add gussets to the sides. Folio is 6x6.

Inside right hand flap: 12" x 8" Mustard Seed; Score at 7 3/8". Flap liners are 4 1/2" x 7 7/8". Inner page liner is 7 1/8" x 7 7/8".

Left flap: 3/8" square Fern; 7 1/8" x 7 7/8" panel of Country Harvest; Cut large Chrysanthemum image from 12x12 with 1/4" extra on the left; Score 1/4" flap and adhere behind the patterned paper.

Inside left flap: Same as inside right flap

Center pocket: 8 3/8" square of Fern cut into an 8 3/3" x 3 7/8" panel to line the pocket face. Use the off cut to line the inside pocket. Cut 8 1/8" x 3 5/8" panel of Mustard Seed for Pocket Face and an 8" x 3 1/2" panel of Country Harvest. Line the top with 8 1/8" x 4 1/4" Flower Market.
