In the spirit of my videos....I wanted to show you a few things that caught my eye. I'll change the title in the future from "What Is Black In The Middle Of The Day?" to something ...eclipsy.
But for today, I made this video for you(s) and not the rest of the world.
Oh...and, I signed up for the @bigsonslawncare welding class....I'm starting next month! See ya round like a donut!
The Story.
I have an adventurer friend who is a scout up north. He will buy a random ticket to Europe and fly out for the weekend. He finds these incredible deals where the ticket costs just $200 bucks.
I was talking with him some weeks back and the eclipse came up...I mentioned that I knew one large YouTube channel was gearing up for it in Texas. @OffTheRanch
My friend had chased the last eclipse in 2017 and was determined to run after this one into Maine.
While on the phone, I decided that I should rent an econobox from #Enterprisecarrental and head for Niagara Falls. Some days after that I started to imagine that Niagara would be cloudy and crowded.
Looking at the map...Cleveland was the same mileage. @timeflysintheshop mentioned that Erie, PA would be nice.
I could not chose and waited for the weather to make the final decision. It turned out that Cleveland was going to have clear skies and Erie was cloudy.....maybe?
Other boy scouts were in Ohio ahead of me....but not near Lake Erie.
"Go west" Cleveland or Bust.
I turned and headed for Cleveland....not knowing the area I drove right past the city.....then took a turn north and ended up in what I think was the best spot on the planet.
The people were super, people in Ohio always are, strangers gave me glasses ( I had flowers....so I gave out bouquets.....that went over well ).
It wasn't crowded, it was great weather and people were all in a fantastic mood.
The total eclipse....well. It is amazing and there is a lot I could say about it but I'll save that for the comment section.
