The official Fan Village experience for the FIFA World Cup 2026™, hosted by the NYNJ Host Committee in partnership with Telemundo and Rockefeller Center. It transforms the iconic Midtown Manhattan landmark into a vibrant, free public hub for fans during the later stages of the tournament (Round of 16 through the final).
Key Dates and Hours
Open to the public: July 6–19, 2026 (some announcements mention setup starting around July 4).
Hours: 10:00 AM–11:00 PM on match days; 10:00 AM–8:00 PM on non-match days.
It serves as Manhattan’s premier watch party spot, complementing the main FIFA Fan Festival at Liberty State Park (Jersey City) and matches at MetLife Stadium (New York New Jersey Stadium).
Main Attractions
The Pitch: The famous Rockefeller Center ice rink (The Rink) is converted into a temporary soccer pitch with artificial turf. It features large screens for live match broadcasts, space for fans to gather, and interactive elements like soccer clinics (e.g., by FC Bayern, NYCFC, Gotham FC), freestyle demos, kids' workshops, and family-friendly movie screenings (e.g., Minions films). Access is first-come, first-served with possible lines and capacity limits; some events require advance registration.
Champions’ Garden: The Channel Gardens are transformed into a tribute honoring the eight nations that have won the FIFA World Cup, featuring displays of legendary players and historic moments.
Fan Zones Across the Plaza: Interactive experiences, brand activations, cultural programming, music, appearances by soccer legends, and a festive atmosphere blending sport, community, and global vibes. International flags, food options, and family activities are featured.
