This video was created on the occasion of “Nick Cave: Forothermore,” Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, November 18, 2022–April 10, 2023.

The “Nick Cave: Forothermore” exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City covers the entire breadth of the artist’s career, and features sculpture, installation, video, and rarely seen early works. The exhibition title is a neologism, a new word that reflects the artist’s lifelong commitment to creating space for those who feel marginalized by dominant society and culture—especially working class communities and queer people of color.

“Nick Cave: Forothermore” is organized by is organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and curated by Naomi Beckwith, Deputy Director and Jennifer and David Stockman Chief Curator of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation, New York. X Zhu-Nowell, Assistant Curator, is supporting the Guggenheim presentation.
